Appointment Today-found out sex!

I had my 20 week appointment today and a level 2 sonogram with a Peri for the first time. We just found out that we are having baby girls!!! I am very excited and look forward to concentrating on girl names. The u/s was fine with both girls weighing 10 oz and heartbeats of 161 and 165. I guess the old wives tale about heart rate indicating sex may be true!!

They did see protein and sugar in my urine but my blood pressure was great at 120/70 so they just think I didn't drink enough water. I am really concerned with having gestational diabetes but I took an early 3 hour glucose test and passed it. I just have to wait until 28 weeks to take it again.

 

Congrats! That's so exciting! This is also my first pregnancy and I'm having girls too and am really looking forward to it! Baby girl stuff is so cute!!

 

congrats!! I've known so many people for whom that old wives' tale is true...guess that's how it came to be an old wives' tale... but I was shocked to read a study that was done that actually has shown zero connection between hb and sex... not even a slight connection... oh well!

Congrats on two girls! I mean, I'm sure you'd have been happy no matter what the genders are, but there's something about two little girls that seems so sweet (sugar and spice and everything nice, right )
