    a court of toddlers!

My pity party today has backfired on me. I have a bad cold (thought I had strep, but don't) and am potty training at the same time. I feel like crap and the kids have been just twisting the knife as regularly as they can! :cray:

Today I must have broken down in tears 4-6 times. The kids get VERY concerned when Mommy cries. So I told them "Mommy is fine, she just doesn't feel well...yada yada yada"

Tonight, I sent them upstairs since they refused to help pick up. I could hear them on the monitor. I KNEW they were laying on top of each other (their version of wrestling) and eventually, Ali always gets hurt. (right now if I so much as touch her, I am hurting her! ) Well, she starts crying and Martin says "Ali, what's wrong? Are you OK?"
Ali says "I'm OK Martin, I don't feel good!" (HEY CHICKA THAT'S MY LINE! B) )

So now, apparently I can't even get upset about anything because it will come back to bit me in the @SS!

They saw our friend's boy (who visited last week) cough so hard he threw up ...... Martin took it a step further and CRIED so hard he made himself throw up!

I was sick to my stomach over the weekend - Now Ali keeps telling me she has an "icky tummy"! It's OUT OF HAND!!!! :cray:

:love0028: Sorry you're having a rough time, Diane.

My DH is out of town this week too and I've been spoiled to not have him out of town a lot since the boys were born...I don't know how you manage (especially while potty training)!

I had always planned on starting to train with him in town, but that wasn't happening!! So when they got excited about it, I had to run with it...... I think I might need a 3 day commitment after this!! :p

Sorry you're not feeling well! I hope you get a rest soon.

You are absolutely right about being careful what you say. Jet has started putting "RIGHT NOW!" on the end of just about everything he says. Hmmm...I wonder where he got that from?

I swear, when they say some things I am baffled. I usually look at myself first, but one had me stumped for a while...

"Oh Pickles!" I couldn't for the life of me figure out where that came from. Becky444's son helped me figure it out. It's from Higglytown! Had me :umm:

 Just tonight I heard, "Aw, come on people!" (my complaint of choice when people are paying more attention to their cell phone than the road... and yes, I'm glad I practiced and cleaned up my act BEFORE they were born) It is very hazardous territory when they become parrots, isn't it?!

 Sometimes we have to hear it from our kids' mouths before we even realize what we're saying! I'm sorry you are sick, I hope you are feeling better soon! If you want them to repeat something worthwhile, just start chanting "mommy is great" or even "yes mommy".
