Ok, I have been loosly using the EASY method for the past few days and so far it is going pretty well. The only hiccup I have noticed is that my usually sleep thru the night babies have been waking up at 4am for a bottle! Then they wake at about 8am for the day. They have been getting their last bottles about 7:30-8pm and are usually in bed asleep by 9 at the latest.

My question is, should I be doing a dream feed at about 10pm to keep them topped up until morning and how much do you give baby, a full bottle or just a couple of oz? I have ordered the baby whisperer book but it has not arrived yet. I have never tried a dream feed so I'm not quite sure how to go about it....do I leave them laying in their crib and just stick the bottle in their mouth or do I pick them up and cradle them to feed? I don't want to wake them for fear of not being able to get them back to sleep!

    Thanks!

Can't wait to see your responses. Mine are sort of falling into the same pattern as yours. For the dream feeds from what I understand, you are basically going in with lights off, minimal stimulus, and giving a bottle-- not changing diapers or talking. In my house, we call it "topping off". I guess it would just be whatever they are willing to take. When I do it with mine, it's usually about half a bottle.

Good afternoon I hope this can help you in any way. My girl's at that age started doing the same thing from sleeping thru the whole night till about 8 in the morning then one day woke up at 4AM... [IMG] SO the first days I give her a bottle in bed I didn't pick her up I started off with 2 oz then the next day she did the same I gave her 1oz she did fuss for a little bit after that but I didn't pick her up. The next day was the same thing put this time I didn't give her a bottle I let her cry, she only cried for about 10-15 min and went back to sleep. From there on she was her normal self 7:30pm-7:30am. You have to be strong if you cannot hear them cry but we as twin parents have to sometimes because we have 2 babies. We need all the energy we can get for the next day...lol

Like I said hope this can help.

I don't know what EASY stands for, but sounds like it's working great for you!!

I did dreamfeed (HSHHC is against it, but I did it anyway [IMG]) at about 10 p.m. At first I would get them and hold them in a darkish room and feed them and they would sleep. Then I leaned over the crib and literally gave it to them in there while asleep. Good luck! Sounds like you are on a great path!

EASY stands for Eat Activity Sleep You (as in me time!).

It is going pretty well, we are working on the naps though, they don't seem to napping for as long as they used to but that could be because they are getting bigger! I will try the dreamfeed tonight and see how it goes. I am tempted to just try and do it in their cribs because DS is hard to get to sleep (he is one of those babies who has to cry himself to sleep!).

That sounds very similar to the Babywise method or is it the same thing?
