And do you like them? I know there will be times when either me or my husband will be alone with the babies and both will want to eat at the same time. It's hard to hold and feed two infants at the same time. Do you think the Podee bottles are a great help? Thanks.

I did use them but with very young infants, it is hard for them to suck through the straw. I would consider something like a bottle propper. I used Bottle Bundles at littlewonders.com. They worked well for us until the boys could hold their own bottles at 7-8 months.

I tried them but found that the flow was too fast for them..they also kept dropping the nipples out of their mouths so it was just easier to feed them bottles...I've always fed them at the same time ..I use a thick blanket to prop one bottle while I burp the other (yes I know you shouldn't prop bottles but I was sitting right next to them)

I never had much luck with them. My kids couldn't suck hard enough to keep the flow going and they were forever pulling the straw off. Lots of moms swear by them though :)

Mine would not take them when they were young and we have not really used them that much to validate purchasing them. To feed both at the same time I would put them in their boppies lying down and propped up. I would sit between them and pop the bottles in and viola eating at the same time.

I ditto this! The time I spent putting the nipples back in their mouthes and put the straw back together, I could have fed them both and been done much quicker!! :D

I bought podees and my babies have no luck trying to use them. I had the same issues as PPs. I second the bottle bundles though. I bought 2 from ebay for a great price and I use them with my twins. I have found that I can feed them both (if they are playing around and the bottle bundle isn't working out either) by putting a boppy around me and a boppy beside me with a baby on each. I couldn't do this in the beginning, but it is easier to do now that they are bigger.

I have use the propping up and holding two bottles approach and it worked just fine. I friend of mine gave me four Podee bottles as a gift. The boys could not use them at first while they were really little. I tried again after three months and what do ya know! They could get the fluid up the straw! At first I had to "prime the pump", I would suck the fluid up into the nipple to get them started, and I did have to pop the nipple back in a few times. As with anything new it takes a bit of time to get used to. Now...the boys see their podees and they get all excited. I use them when we are on the go...in the stroller is THE BEST! They no longer need me to prime the pump or to put the nipple back in. I have found they have less gas too. I use these mainly as my out and about bottles.....I have orderd 6 more!

I've had great experience with the Podees. I don't know what I would do without them. They couldn't use them until they were about three months old but now that's the only bottle they will take.

It's been a very long time, but Ditto that! We were completely dependent on them. But definitely wait til about 3 months to introduce.

We got 2 to try out on my son, he is 9 months and Podee's are great for on the go or now that he likes to play so much while sitting up. I put him in his play area and give him a Podee and he gets to play while eating, he loves it. Only time he let's me hold him for a bottle is at night before bed or getting ready for a nap.

We figured we would try them on our son so we know if we wanted them for the twins, we like them and now that I read that most twins don't get the hang of it until 3 months or so, we will get more for that time range. Having 3 under 14 months to feed is going to be an adventure I'm sure.

  12. I loved the Podee bottles. I was worried that they would not be able to suck right since they are not pacifier babies. They had no problem. The nipples do come out so i use a burp cloth to prop the nipple up and it works great. I would not survive without them. It is great for on the go in the car seat and stroller. My mom would use them to get them to take their nap in the swings. Even if I have to check up on them because they pull it out it still helps me out so much when I am trying to get one to sleep and the other is crying because it is also his bedtime and he is hungry. I am amazed at how many did not like the bottles. There was a problem with the first set that I had. One was harder to suck than the other. I have found out since that the tube was not pushed up all the way into the connector. I did prime in the beginning a little but it really was not necessary.

    Good Luck

We absolutely loved the Podees. :D I used a bottle propper until 2 months but then the girls started moving their heads too much to keep the bottle propped. I introduced the Podees at 2.5 months and it took about a week for the girls to get good at it. I held in the nipple at first and then slowly decreased how much I held it in and they learned to keep it in by themselves. By 3 months old they were rejecting all their other bottles and would only take the Podee.

One of the things I really liked about the Podee was that it allowed me to hold both babies while feeding them. I hated putting them in their bouncers or propping them on pillows during feeding time. The Podees were also great on all our road trips because we'd feed the babies in the car and then stop to burp them and get to spend the non-car time playing instead of eating. Like a pp post said, once they started sitting, they loved being able to eat and play at the same time. :)

If you have any questions about the Podee, feel free to send me a PM. We sell the bottles and also sell a twins discount package of them through the Twinstuff store. Some babies can handle the Podees at birth but many multiples seem to need to grow for a couple of months before getting good at it so when you try the bottles is up to you.

We bought two of them. Tried one and I sold the other. It seems like the kids have to have a REALLY good suck - which many don't - in order for it to work. But others seem to have luck with them. So maybe buy one and see how it goes before you buy or at least open the other package :)

They didn't have those around when mine were infants and I refused to prop their bottles up because I had always heard it was a choking hazard, but I knew that for my sake I had to get them eating at the same time. So I would set them in their infant car seats on the floor and sit between them and hold their bottles for them. Then I took turns burping them. This worked great for me....even though I couldn't hold both of them to feed them I was still right next to them and making eye contact and touching them. They got to be held for feedings at night when dad was home and when we visited grandma's (which was a lot) so I didn't feel too guilty about having to feed them in their carseats.

Plus they were always being fed in a semi-upright position which is better for gas and their ears. And as an added bonus I learned to flip channels on the remote with my toes!!!!

I've used them and started using them at 3 weeks. They were slower, but still very good. I think it helped that my twins were large and full term too. Now I don't use them that much. They're starting to hold their own bottles. My boy had rice cereal in his bottle for reflux from early on so that didn't work and my girl now seems to think it's a toy taking it in and out of her mouth, so it takes really really long!

Definitely recommend them though! I prefered the latex nipples, less slippery than the silicone ones. They would stay in their mouth a lot better.
