Does anyone have the Moby Wrap - it's a baby/toddler sling carrier? I've looked at a million and I like the way you can use this one without having to configure it differently each time you use a new position.

Anyone have one? Any advice? I'm looking to get one to use for the new baby!

I'm a moby lover. Feel free to PM me on wears and what not! I only have 6 of them that I made! :p

I used the info from this site tomake a wrap like a moby and ended up w/ 3 wraps from 5 yards of fabric. I used the wrap alot when the babies were newborn and plan on using it again more soon. I does take awhile to learn some of the positions, but like with everything practice makes perfect. I definitely liked it alot better than my bjorn style carrier, way easier on the back and shoulders for sure!

My moby was great for when Dax was a baby. He wasn't a sling fan like the girls were. Once his head was steady, he like sitting forward facing in the sling like a little kangaroo. I also have a MamaRooBabySling that is like a Moby but isn't stretchy and has back support. I like the stretchiness of the Moby for a newborn but the MamaRoo is much better for an older baby. My absolute favorite carrier is my sling from Hawaii (Keiki Baby?). It has a great print, colored rings, and a solid colored lining so it is so pretty and I feel pretty using it. :) I wouldn't suggest a ring sling for a long excursion with an older baby though.

With Dax at 9 months old, I say I can go comfortably for about 40 minutes in a ring sling, 1 hour in a pouch sling, 30 minutes in my Maya Wrap, 1 - 1.5 hours in a Mei Tei, and indefinitely in the MamaRoo.

I bought one but could never figure it out. I did keep it though, maybe if I ever have a singleton my head will be clearer in those early days. ;)

took me a while to figure it out (I have one of those 'moments' memories from when i tried to learn how to use it; i was home from the hospital, the girls were still in the NICU, my MIL was here and at midnight we were in the nursery and i tried tying it. She was loooking at me like i was a complete lunatic to try and wrap this six yards of material...then I put TWO tededy bears in it and we just about fell on the floor HOWLING with laughter.

I only got both girls in it a few times when they were very small, but i started using it again recently w/ a baby facing outwards and i love it. Pretty darn long, but much easier on my back than a bjorn. i'd try your local craigslist, i sometimes see them. wish i could sew or i'd make my own!

I didn't use the moby, but I've really loved my hotslings pouch. It's great. I've heard lots of good things about the moby too..

I LOVE my Moby. I don't think I"d get anything done without it.
I have three other slings, two like the Baby Bjorn type carriers and then an Infantino (sp>) one and those just didn't do the job.
