I found one for a pretty good deal and I'm wondering what everyones opinions on these are.

I have heard that they have lots of false alarms so people didnt like using them but then I have heard that people would not be with out them.

The one im looking into getting is the BEBE Sounds Angelcare Monitor.

I had two - one for each of our girls and loved them. They gave us such peace of mind. Yes, there were false alarms when they started moving and finally rolled to the corner of the crib and the monitor couldn't sense them, however, I would prefer 100 false alarms over just 1 missed real alarm.

I loved them. We still have the monitors but we don't use the motion sensors anymore.

Would not have a baby without them!! We have 2, since you need one for each baby if you use the motion sensor. I slept so much more soundly using these! Yes, we had false alarms when they were able to roll around to the edge of the bed, but I didn't mind. I would have been getting up more to check on the boys if we didn't have them. If you worry about your babies and will want to check on their breathing etc, these will help you to worry less. Love them!!

Hate hate hate hate them!!! We used them when we put the babies in their room. The thing was beeping 6 times a night, waking up everyone and making our life a nightmare... Less with DS but DD is smaller and lighter and she was moving to the side of the crib all the time. Eventually we couldn't take the stress anymore and got rid of the sensor (we still use the regular monitor as there is no static at all). We all sleep much better now.

For people asking - yes, it was on the maximum sensitivity. I even called their customer service and they told me it's normal for it to beep if the baby is out of range of the sensor. Well, unless they start making some that are much bigger, no thanks.

Nope. I have a real "hospital grade" monitor for my daughter. I haven't slept in almost 10 months. Why would you do that to yourself if you don't "have" to?

Our monitors didn't go off very often. I got more sleep because of them. Before the boys were 6 months old, we had no false alarms, but I slept better because I knew that if they quit breathing or moving for 20 seconds, an alarm would sound and wake me up. I was terrified of SIDS and these helped me sleep better at night. I didn't have to keep checking on the boys.

I never used any monitors. I have heard you can't have a fan on in the room with those Angel monitors, since it makes it think there is motion......

Had one of each of the babies and loved it!
We felt so much safer resting know we had it.

    Good Luck :)

I had two of them and LOVED them. There were very few false alarms.
One of my babies would only sleep on her stomach and I let her since I got this. (I know it offers no guarantees, but the things REALLY seem to work. We tested them often trying to trick them.)

Some of the best money we spent on twins.
