My twins are 18 months old and showing lots of signs of potty training. My son, especially. I've started letting them run around naked and put them on the pot every 20 minutes or so. We've not had as many accidents as I expected. Since I cloth diaper, I am READY to be done with diapers. I'm wondering if anyone else is doing this, or if I'm asking for an exercise in frustration. :)

Good luck! :D My older kids didn't train until almost 3, and 3.5, and the twins are showing no signs of being ready, so I'm nowhere close to starting ;) Hope it goes smoothly for you.

Here is a link to About.com potty training readiness quiz

To the OP: it really depends on the child (or children)...I always say if your kids are showing signs of readiness, it can never hurt to try and then if it doesn't take, there is no shame in shelving the potty for a while and trying again later. My DS and DD were not ready at 18 months.
I can tell you with my twins that my DS started peeing on the potty at 24 months and did well up until Easter and he just stopped. We did the 3 day potty training program with him over the weekend (he is now 32 months old) and I would say he is far from potty trained but he is going in the potty again and that's a huge step for him.
My DD was 26 months when she started peeing on the potty and is about 95% potty trained. We are still working on her telling us when she has to go and that she is improving on.
    Good luck!

I am potty training the boys now but you all have to pray for me because sitting on the floor with the boys while they go every 20-30 mins or so is getting hard being 8 mos pregnant :gah: They are highly motivated though and do use the potty. We hope to be done by the end of the week, month...before this next babe arrives, don't need 3 in diapers :shok:

My oldest PT at 2.5, but first showed interest around 2. One of my twin DS is donig the same - peeing and pooping in the potty daily. The other tries, but does not get the control thing yet - he just sits of 30 sec or so. We also use cloth. I am also trying to figure out what to do... work hard on PT or ... not sure. Would love to chat to hear about what you do. I would like to PT one at a time - just seems easier. I have let them got w/o diapers for 1 hr or so each morning. DS usually tells me "pee-pee" and I will usher him to the potty - the other DS will tell me if his bro had an accident.
