Our babies are nearly 9 months and when our 6 yr old was a baby we started offering him cold formula to get him use to the change to milk...But I can't remember when we did this (I have mommy brain [IMG])

Our babies don't seem to like the formula as well as they use to, Some feedings they drink it all some feedings they don't. I thought if it wasn't to early to offer it cold I might try that and see how that went....

I use the britta filter picture to filter their water then leave it on the counter till they are hungry and fix their bottle's. So it is always room temp.

Yep. I got scolded from gma, great-ma, DH, pediatrician. But these boys are so impatient! Sometimes they take it right out of the fridge and never complain, but I usually try and get it to room temp.

my kiddos will drink room temp w/out problem but if i try to give it cold you would think i was pouring poison down their throat! [IMG] Funny, i don't remember switching my DS1 from warm to cold in order to prepare for milk. i think milk was just something different and that was that. i had no problems. good luck with it [IMG]

My boys have been taking them cold since 2 months! Right from the fridge. Sometimes I take them out a bit early to get the chill off and on chilly mornings or nights- I might warm them in some hot water for a few minutes- but that is definitely not the norm.
Never had the dr. say that it was bad- but gma's and such thought it was terrible...

Well, I'll admit to it. Our girls drink cold formula. They have been for months. If that makes me a bad person, then so be it [IMG]. The first time MIL found out, she was horrified. But as far as I can tell, its a comfort thing, not a medical thing, and our girls like it cold. When they're teething badly, such as just recently, they push away warm bottles. But normally, they'll drink it any temp.

both of mine drink cold bottles right out of the fridge, and they have since about a month old. they never really did like it warm either. we just took the chill off. think about it this way would you rather drink something warm or cold. i personally love everything ice cold except for coffee.

Thanks for all your responses.....Sounds like alot do serve it cold.

I think I will try it....It would be nice to mix up a bunch make bottles and pop them in the fridge. Now that the babies don't give much warning and they go from happy to screaming, so I'm usually making bottles with them crying. [IMG]

Count me in this group. I make a bunch of bottles at once (enough to get us through at least 24 hours) and stick them in the fridge. The Pampered Chep quick stir pitcher is great for making mass quantities of formula and it mixes up the powdered stuff really well. We serve most bottles straight from the fridge. I'll microwave Annie's bottles sometimes for like 10 seconds (and shake it really well) just to take the chill out, but it's still cold.

I didn't ever do that. They had it "near hot" and then when we went to milk it was straight from the fridge cold and they LOVE IT! Never had an issue.....
