For those that have had previous m/c's, you know what I'm talking about. Though the latest m/c I've had was at 12.5 weeks. All others were before 9 weeks.

When I went to the Dr. I was certain that they would not find a h/b, but low and behold, they did and it was 162. However bub wasn't moving that much. Doc said he/she was, I didn't see it, not compared to my twins anyways who, at that stage, were CONSTANTLY fighting each other in the womb! LOL

Anyways I just don't 'feel' pregnant. I haven't gained a pound, but then I really haven't lost any either. My weight loss halted in November (go figure, cuz I was preggo and didn't know it) despite dieting and exercise. I still had about 15 lbs. to lose from the twins. I think at this point with the twins I had only gained about 5lbs, so seeing as how I started this pregnancy with an extra 15, I don't know that not gaining anything is much to worry about YET.

It's just the fact that I can't help but wonder what's going on in there. Of course with the extra weight I also haven't started showing yet. I've heard with subsequent pregnancies you will start showing much earlier due to your uterus just 'knwoing' what to do.

has anybody lost a pregnancy after 14 weeks?? What happens if you do? The doc was already measuring femur bones and skulls, so there's already hard bone tissue there, would a D&C even be possible or would it have to be an actual delivery??

Unless someone reminds me or I stop and remind myself, I forget ALL the time that I'm even pregnant. That's a first for me, seeing that I've had 3 m/c's and only 1 full term pregnancy. Even though I felt good with the twins, I still 'felt' pregnant. Make sense??

I have never had a m/c, but with this singleton pregnancy I also didn't "feel" pregnant that early. Even now at 28 weeks I don't feel pregnant like I did with the twins and am not nearly as big bellied. Have you thought about renting a doppler for a month or so to alleviate some fear? My Dr. keeps telling me that I am growing just fine even though I am growing at a much slower rate then with the twins. Even though it is a second pregnancy there is still only one baby and not two.

I had a m/c but I was only 5 weeks along. I am not sure what happens if you loose a baby at 14 weeks. As far as your weight i wouldnt worry about it unless your DR says something. I am almost 22 1/2 weeks and I have only gained 3-4 pounds. My Dr isnt concerned because I had extra weight to start with and the baby is growing just as it should. Its just weird to not be gaining weight when I had no problem packing it on the first 2 trimesters with my twins. Renting a doppler is a good idea. Ihave thought about doing myself just so I can hear the HB. I definatly felt more pregnant with my twins but there was 2 of them in there and I got big alot faster is what I am thinking.

I could have written your post but I am only 13 weeks. I have an 11 yr old and 5 1/2 month old twins (all girls) and was whipped with sickness. I had 2 missed m/c both with no symptoms. This time I've often thought I wouldn't have even known I was pregnant if I hadn't missed my period. I too would secretly think it wouldn't surprise me if something bad happened when I went for my sono but when I went at 12 weeks baby had a strong h/b of 152. I also thought the baby didn't look like it was moving much and it would bounce every now and then just not a whole lot. So they tell me everything looked great yet I leave, still have no symptoms and wonder if something happened. At least the thoughts don't overwhelm me because I am to busy to dwell on it and I keep saying every pregnancy is different (everyone is convinced this time is a boy)but like you I have to remind myself I am pregnant and when I saw the sonogram I felt like I was watching someone else-like it couldn't be me. I think I may have even felt flutters but not sure. I think of your post about flying through the first trimester and I was much the same. I think this is my reward for having bad sickness before and I don't know what I'd do with symptoms and having to take care of these two so I an just grateful. I'm sure you are ok maybe we are just lucky.

Jill you're right. If I had to many symptoms I wouldn't be able to care for the two I already have... Hopefully we are just lucky. I am tired all the time, but that could be becuase I'm up at 5 every morning to get the girls ready for daycare, don't go to work till 10 (mostly I sleep again after the girls leave) and am super busy at work and don't go to bed till around 10-11 at night.

I think I will get a doppler, I was wanting to anyways so I could let the girls hear the h/b and we could point, listen and say ,"baby". They know what a baby IS (they've pointed at newborn pics of themselves and said it) but probably wouldn't be able to grasp that there was one in mommy's belly, even when i do start to show.

And you know, I looked at myself in the mirror as I was getting dressed today, and if I don't suck it in, I do look pregnant, with my clothes on! LOL I say that becuase, w/o my clothes I can easily chalk it up to my 'twin skin' that looks oh so lovely hanging there.....

That's one good thing about having a 3rd baby before we planned. I'll be able to get my Tummy tuck sooner! :) I've been working so hard to lose the baby weight, but that extra loose skin just won't budge darnet...

Well my next appt. isn't until the 20th, so hopefully everything is working out. The other reason I'm really worried, especially about the lack of movement, is becuase I was loading myself up with cold medications AND birth control the entire month of december, during the all important organ development stage. I'll get my Quad screen on the 20th too, I just hope and pray that it all comes out good.

Yes, I went through a period where I didn't feel pregnant. :hug99: It's hard not knowing every day!
