Anyone measuring big with just one?

I've had a number of people ask if I were having twins again, when they find out how far along I am. I feel huge, for just having 1 baby. But I've just chalked it up to the fact that it's baby #6 and my last pregnancy was twins. Yesterday, though, I had my midwife appt and though I wasn't quite 28 weeks, I measured 30. I've never had that happen before, except with my twins. Just wondering if it's happening to anyone else?

I was wondering the same thing. Makes me a bit nervous for my 2nd u/s what if they missed one. I feel big, but not as big as with the twins. You know for sure it's just one baby in there?

I've been measuring 1-2 weeks ahead. They even changed my due date a week sooner. Yay!!

I've had 2 u/s's so unless one is really well hidden, there's just one in there. I have another u/s next week, because of a cyst, so maybe they'll remeasure the baby, too? I was also wondering if my "advanced maternal age" LOL is affecting it. I just did my glucose screening yesterday, too. So if I had GDS that would maybe explain a bigger baby. But I'll be a little surprised if I have it, as I haven't had any symptoms and havent' ever had it before when pregnant.

I measured a good 4-6 weeks ahead throughout my pregnancy with Evan. I was never fully convinced that it was just one (vanishing twin) throughout the pregnancy and even had dreams of how to break the news of a girl at delivery. Of course, it was just one and I did have an overabundance of fluid. They did keep a close eye on me at the end with multiple ultrasounds. Evan measured a week ahead.

I was enormous...and my baby was the size of most twins combined :)

I measured about 1-2 weeks ahead with Liam. And he was 8 lbs 12 oz, so three pounds bigger than his brother and sister.

Interesting that this has happened to a number of us. I wonder if it's from being stretched out after twins. I always measured spot on with my oldest 3 and they were 7#4, 7#14 and 8#1, so just good sized babies, not overly large or small.

My OB said it was because of having the twins first.

I'm not sure how big your cyst is, but mine is big enough to make me look further along than I am. When I was 8 weeks, my cyst was measuring the size of a 12 week pregnancy! I had an emergency cystectomy with Elizabeth at 17 weeks and they removed a huge cyst. When I left the hospital I looked a few weeks less pregnant!

No, it shouldn't be that, unless it's gone haywire. It's a small one, like the size of a quarter, and is the kind my midwife says she's never seen not resolve on it's own. Can't think of what it's called. I had one w/ the twins, too. My u/s is just to double check that it does actually resolve. Guess I'll find out for sure on Wed, though.

I am! At 14 wks I was measuring 17 wks. At this last appt in my 18th wk I was measuring 21 wks. They say that can be normal for a 2nd+ pg and also having had twins before. But *usually* it evens out.
