Do you like them? Did you get the add on seat to make it a double trike? Did you get the pushbar?

    Thanks!

I have them. They are nice - not entirely necessary to have them be that brand - I got the push bar! LOVE THAT!

We had them, but didn't have the push bar or the extra seat. I loved them, they are really nice and sturdy!

Did you both order them online?

We have two of them -- one hand-me-down and one from the twins club sale, so they don't match. The pushbar is key! One of ours has it and the other one doesn't. We started using our trikes when the twins were about 18 months, but only at 2.5 are they even beginning to be self-propelled (Sarah still wants to be pushed most of the time). Lemme tell ya, pushing a trike without a pushbar is No Fun.

I don't think we would have wanted the add-on seat unless I was going to be taking them riding on my own. They enjoy having their own trikes. But DH and I have to take them out together, otherwise it would be "push one -- run back and push the other -- push the first one some more..."

We have the Kettler trikes with the pushbar and really like them. We ordered them from amazon.com.

We have the Kiddi-o tricycles whicy are made by Kettler. We didn't have the handles, but in the beginning that might have helped. We got them from another TS mom when her kids outgrew them. :good:

We have Kettler trikes with the push bar (which I think is a must have). We didn't get the top of the line ones, but I think they were around $99 a piece.

This year my boys went to bikes with training wheels, but we bought them Kettler's when they were 18 months and they used them until just recently - so a good 3 solid years of use! We had one nicer Kettler (the 'Happy', I think), and then we bought a 2nd Kettler from One Step Ahead. The 'happy' is quite a bit nicer - it is much sturdier, more stable, easier to adjust, and more comfortable for a larger child to ride. We did buy the 2nd seat for the Kettler and it was so CUTE when Nate and Drew would ride it. It was quite heavy, though, and difficult to steer, even with the handle. They were also not quite strong enough to pedal it with a rider. My older son, Will, loved to be the driver, though, and take one of his little brothers for a ride.

So, I would get the nicer Kettler's, absolutely get the pushbar, and skip the extra seat. :)

I have one from my oldest. They're very durable and high quality, will last several kids (or somebody else's kids) without a problem. Got the pushbar, bought it online, free shipping and no tax.

Kelly will you be at the Sesame Gathering picnic??? I have a Kettler Trike from boys I am looking to sell. It is in very good shape, it has the S frame so can add tandem insert if wanted to, and it has bucket on back. Nathan still would ride it if I let him but he has outgrown it.
