Ugh... my back is killing me!! It's my upper back and it's putting me in a bad mood.

Do any of you go to the chiropractor? I think I'm going to call and make an appointment. I hope it helps. I can hardly stand this.

I didn't while I was pregnant, but have since then! If you think it will help, go for it!! You need to be comfortable. Just make sure they are qualified to work on pregnant women. (Don't know if that's a 'thing' but can't hurt to ask!)

I really hope you find some relief!

I haven't seen a chiro but I have been going to a massage therapist. She does something called moxibustion as well as massage and that is what is working best for me.

I have been seeing a chiropractor every couple weeks -- my back is so sore. He has experience with pregnant women so knows what not to do. Maybe make sure you see one that will do the same?

I went to the chiropractor until she quit working when I was 33 weeks-she had delivered her own baby via c-section and took 2 months off. I would have kept going otherwise. She was experienced with working with pregnant women, so I was totally comfortable using her. My massage therapist was also a big help-she knew what she could and couldn't do for a pregnant woman as well and was great about positioning me comfortably. I saw her weekly from 30-37 weeks.

I saw a chiropractor early on in my pregnancy for VERY servere back and hip pain. I would recommentd it highly. They can also help with alignment in your back that can be very helpful if you delivery vaginally. If I could afford it I still would go once a week, but I no longer have insurance to cover that.

I wanted to but my dr. said no.

I do start physical therapy this next week to help with my back and hips though.

Yes, I've been going once a month and love it. They do a short massage on any problem area followed by the adjustment. He is careful about positioning and uses different holds now that I am pregnant than he did before. I did ask my dr after I was put on bedrest and she still said it was fine to go. I think it has really helped adjust to all the changes.

I went to the chiropractor 1 - 2 times a week while pregnant until I couldn't get around much. My chiro even had a pillow to accomodate my bulging belly. My chiro uses an activator, which keeps you from being pushed and pulled a lot. I think if more ob's knew how beneficial adjustments were for delivery, they would recommend it.

I rely on my chiropractor!!!!! Just don't allow neck manipulation - too risky according to my OB. And get someone who has experience in treating pregnant women - it makes a huge difference.

I go to a chiropractor and she has helped me out tremendously. I definitely recommend going! Just make sure that the chiropractor you go to has experience in treating pregnant women.

i think chiro care is just great--and it's not just for backs (because all our nerves end up in our spinal column, adjusting it can actually effect your body in many positive ways!). i started seeing one before i got married, and i have not had allergies or cold sores ever since. you just never know. i only see him about every 3 weeks now that i am pregnant, but if i had any pain or aches, i would not hesitiate to go! there is some research about chiro and pregnancy, and i think it's all good.

    good luck!
