We are flying to Spain in a couple of weeks. I was planning on just gate checking our double stroller (Combi). I went onto the airlines website (Air France) and it shows the dimensions allowed for gate checking to be 15x30x100 cm. When I convert that to inches and compare to the Combi specs looks like it's a no-go. I've been trying to get through to the airline directly to clarify with them. But I was curious if anyone else has gate checked their double stroller?

We gate checked our Combi two years ago and didn't have any problems. :good: I would still call and check, just in case the guidelines have changed. Good luck!! Have fun in Spain!

I've only gate checked the stroller on domestic flights and had no issues. I hope you can get some answers and have fun!

We gate checked our on British Airways from Denver to Heathrow with no problems. I actually think on one of our flights we ended up having luggage bins that fit our Jeep Umbrella stroller.

I say give them a call to double check but I doubt it will be a problem.

I've gate checked a Bugaboo (in travel bag and in 2 separate pieces) and a double MacLaren without any issues. This summer is going to be worse, I'll be checking in my MBUD! But my friend has done it without any problems on Cathay. We have 5 paid seats as well and are Gold Members. Not expecting any problems. A stroller is a stroller, that's my experience.
