My girls will be 9 months old on July 9th and they are almost 20 lbs. My upper body hurts so much everyday from lifting them. When will this get easier? Ever?

YES! I feel like an old woman, especially in the morning. My back is sooooo sore and stiff when I get up. I hobble around for about an hour and then it gets a little better. I think I need to go to a chiropractor, I have not been right since I was pregnant with them, and all those weeks of bedrest, laying on one side, really did a # on my body. I just feel out of whack.

I ditto the old woman feeling...but it is my hips and knees that hurt the worst and then of course, the burning of back muscles by the end of the day. I do hope it gets better with time.

I complain to DH everyday. My lower back hurts so bad at night that I can only sleep in one position, and da$%it it's on my side! I had enough of that during pregnancy!
My knees hurt, and my legs are sore from trying to pick them up right so that my back will get better. I'm glad I can vent here, my DH is probably ready to commit me.

    YES YES YES
My neck and back hurt, my knees and ankles creak when I go up the stairs.
But the worst part is my wrists - lifting them all the time is torture! And the fact that my 10 month old DD is 24 lbs. does not help! :p
I guess when they are completely mobile and don't need to be lifted as much it will get better - at least I hope so! :D

I hope it gets better. My neck and shoulders are killing me. I think I need to see a chiropractor, but the thoughts of taking two nine month olds with me makes me hurt even more, lol ! I'm 31 and feel more like 61 when I get up in the morning. But I will miss it when they both don't want me to hold them all the time.... Cathch 22 I guess!!

i guess it isn't going to get better until they are too big to carry -high school!

I totally relate to that "old lady feeling" my DS is about 24 lbs. and my DD has to be at least 26 lbs. My back and my knees are so sore that most nights I have to take some Aleve to be able to sleep. I also had the terrible wrist pain that went away after some shots of cortizone (sp.?) I feel so out of wack and like I'm just falling apart with all the aches and pains... and I hate to say it, but I don't think this will end anytime soon, even when they can walk they will continue to need and want to be picked up.

My back and neck muscles burn at the end of the day. Sometimes I feel numbness and tingling and my balance is way off! :( Saw a commercial on tv where they said balance and numbness problems were signs of nerve damage and then on the news this afternoon they said woman who don't get enough sleep can have pain bursts-bouts of pain because of lack of sleep. Joy oh joy. Maybe by Kindergarten if my body can lat that long!

I don't think my lower back will ever be the same. Some evenings, it seems like I will never be able to stand up straight again. I don't think mine is from the lifting and/or carrying of the girls, but from always being stooped over playing with them in the floor or leaning over talking to them and/or feeding them. Some days are worse than others, but I definitely feel different than before I had kids.

I have trouble with my knees after I've been playing on the floor for awhile. They feel stiff when I get up.
