Anyone Else's Babies Hate Blankets?

I always thought babies love to snuggled in blankets, all cuddled up, but my babies hate them. Actually, Con will tolerate them, but try to put a blanket on Chase and he kicks it right off. I used to try and cover them after they would fall asleep but that was a surefire way to wake Chase up! He'd start kicking away to get it off of him and wouldn't stop until it was. So I gave up and just sleep them in footed sleepers, they seem warm enough when I check on them.

    Anyone else's babies like this?

Mine won't keep a blanket on either. I put them in the fleece sleepers, even in FL!, year-round!!

DS just now started to tolerate them. DDs still kick them off every time.

Neither of mine do. Grace seems to tolerate a blanket for a bit, then kicks it off. Lilly on the other hand will immediately kick it off!! So....now they just sleep in onsies. They do just fine.

Nope mine didn't like them either when they were younger. I think it was that, plus it was fun for them to kick them off, kwim? I kept them in sleepers, the cotton ones in the summer time, and in the fleece ones in the winter time. Of course I guess as long as you are indoors it doesn't matter, because our house it the same temp year round.

Mine too! Never fails, if I dress them in cotton jammies not realizing it's going to be a cool night and go and cover them they are restless the whole night. I have to eventually go in, uncover and pray they are warm enough!

Mine like to hold the blankets and snuggle with them but, they do not want them on top of them. I put them in footed sleepers year round too!

Just today my daughter woke up screaming from her nap- I was vacuuming and didn't hear her at first, it was an hour before she should have been up. When I finally got to her, she had her head tightly wrapped up in her fleece blanket and was gasping and screaming. It was so scary! When I got her unwrapped, she was all red and sweaty and just absolutely frantic. It took me a half hour to settle her down and when I did she was just limp with exhaustion :( So never again will I put a blanket in the crib with my babies.

Poor girl! That's exactly the reason that I was worried about putting blankies in my babies cribs, but they sleep on them. Still...

At that age my babes had these little kind of sleeping bags with no sleeves just straps over the shoulders that way they could move around and kick but could not kick of their warmth. I worked very well for the winter. They are fine in their sleepers with no feet right now but when we blast the air conditioning soon, I might have to put them in it again for the summer.
