I can barely walk and can't keep my eyes open for anything. I mean I have to hype myself up to go to the bathroom. This just sucks.

Oh girl...I hear ya!! LOL!! It's especially tough with a little one to chase around!! I keep thinking how much energy I'll have once the babies come, but then I realize I won't...but at least I'll feel comfortable in my own skin again! LOL!! Hang in there and know you are not alone!! ;)

I know exactly what you are saying. Last night is the first night in weeks that I have actually had any sleep. The babies move into different positions, and I have a hard time walking, and please don't ask me to pick up ANYTHING! I get tired and out of breath just walking across the room, let alone doing anything else. My sinuses are so plugged up my head aches. LOL! The other morning I got up, took a shower, got dressed and laid back down on the bed because I was too tired to do anything else! I kept saying... okay now you have to take the kids to school and go to work. I was actually looking forward to 24 weeks when my OB says I have to stop working! I hope you feel better soon and know that you are definately NOT alone!!! :hug99:

BTW... you are due on my sons 13th birthday!!! I love that date... it ends up mothers day once in a while. We like to share our day sometimes and it's a great special time for the two of us! He is hoping to share it with his new brothers!! I told him he has a fairly good chance of it, I am due the 27th.

I can't stand how exhausted I am - I mean, the daily shower I force myself to take completely wipes me out, and THEN I have to get up my 17 month old - I dont know how much longer I can do this............

I too have had to take a nap after my morning shower… because it whipped me out… then to go to the grocery store… I will be in bed by 7 if I do both… and not wake up until 7… luckily my husband works from home and my son is 9 ½… but I don’t think my husband has seen a showered wife and a normal dinner on the same day in months…
FYI I just woke up from a 2 hour nap

I am so glad to hear other woman in the 2nd trimester (I am at 25 weeks tomorrow) talking about how tired you are and how you are out of breath after walking across the room. It makes me feel much more normal. I climb my set of stairs at home and I feel and sound like I climbed Mt. Everest. I am breathing heavy, I have stop at the top of the stairs. I feel so pitiful. I vacuumed the other day and it was exhausting. I could only vacuum 3 rooms and had to stop. I am having a hard time sitting at work for 8 hours. By the 5 1/2 - 6 hour mark, my back really starts to hurt. Right around my bra line. It's an ache that radiates into my ribs on my back. It really sucks. Then, I have to drive home with my 1 hour commute. UGH. I am starting to work from home once a week and in February, I will be working 2 days from home and in March..well..we shall see what I have energy for. Hang in there! I am so glad to be where I am as I have losses in my past. I just keep focusing on that. And, when I feel the babies move, it reminds me what this is all about. I just gotta keep it all in perspective. But, it's hard when folks (work) expect you to keep up like you did before you had two little ones growing in your belly!!
    Take care!!

It is amazing how doing so little, in normal standards, can be so exhausting. Taking a shower is awful, making dinner is tiring when you have to bend down to get things out of cupboards or in and out of the oven. I feel bad because I don't do a lot of house work anymore, I just get to tired and then my belly gets tight. I am lucky that I am not working right now, I can't even imagine how much worse that would make things, especially when the people you work with really don't understand or care how you feel. I really feel for you. Hopefully you will get a chance to rest soon. Feel better.

Wow, i was thinking I might have low iron because of how tired I've been. I didn't think it would be like this in the second trimester, I have a hard time doing anything I feel sooo weak and tired. After reading all these posts I guess it's just part of because pregger with two. I don't know how I'm going to make it through this but it's good to know I'm not alone.

By the way I'm new here. My name is Christy, I have two kids Brandon 6 and Brooklyn 5 and I`m now 23 weeks and 3 days pregnant with twin boys. I look forward to getting to know you all.

I though I was tired during the 2nd trimester, but I hate to break it too all you ladies, but it gets worse! <_< At least it did for me. I finished working at Christmas (28w) and a darn good thing too! I was on my feet for 5 hours at a time, and I just couldn't fit into my shoes anymore. Now, my dr has me on modified bedrest ( on feet no more than 3 hours a day, sitting or lying down rest of day, 2 1.5 hour rests on left side) because baby A is measuring 25% smaller than baby B. I've had my steriod shots just in case I need to deliver early. I live in a split level house, with kitchen upstairs and my bedroom down. Thanks goodness I have a Dh and DS(12) who help out lots and keep me from overworking.

Yeah, I was tired in the second tri, and now it is getting worse!! I'm still working - which is getting very difficult. My feet are swelling and hurt constantly now instead of only at night. I'm going to TRY to make it 3-4 more weeks at work though!

But yeah - we are growing TWO, so we are more tired. It's hard for people to realize this too. It was even hard for my DH to realize this until we really talked about it. People assume it's similar to carrying one, and it's just not.

Welcome Christy - I have been looking at this site for awhile. It's GREAT and full of wonderful information and really supportive woman. I wanted you to know that I was found to be anemic early in this pregnancy. My iron was really low. I took supplements but it caused terrible constipation (sorry if TMI). So, I cut the supplements in half and no more side effects. I eat beef almost every day or some kind of veggie with high iron. So...if you feel like it may be low iron, have the doctor check your blood or increase you intake of iron through your diet!! Also..I have a lot of heart palpitations and I found that when I take the supplements and/or eat high iron food the palpitations tend to lessen a bit. Hang in there!!
