    Hi all,
I have been here a couple weeks now(whew),and my peri has me on a home uterine monitor, and P-17 shots, along with my bedrest.Im 28.1 now and my last lenghth was 2.93.

Just wondering if anyone else is using a Home Healthcare Nurse...Its very comforting actually.I run a strip for an hour in the morning, and an hour at night..then I transmit to the center, and my nurse calls me back to let me know if I had any contractions or not.If so she contacts my peri...its nice talking to a medical professional daily, the weekly shots in the fanny not so pleasnt, but worth it.

The company we are using is Alere/formally Matria/,and I heard of them through sidelines.com(also a great support),Im not sure my Peri would have mentioned it if I didnt.

I think its alot better than the hospital FOR SURE! My heart goes out to all the MoMs in the hospital for Bedrest,Im not sure I could do it!

My home nurse visits twice a week to listen to the boys, and take my B.P. measure etc.and on fridays I get my P-17.

Anyway I was just wondering if anyone else was in my spot

    Hugs guys....Happy FRIDAY...J

Hospital bedrest is not easy, that's for sure, but if you had to do it, you would. I am glad everything is going well for you at home. :good:

My next door neighbor is doing the P-17 shots now for her 4th baby and it's working great for her, she also did them with baby #3. Hang in there, you are doing great.

I'm doing the home monitoring with Alere also!! I don't have to do the shots but I have an iv stuck in me all the time. It's not to bad. I'm on a trebutiline pump to stop my contractions. I'm still having a lot but I was having way more without it. I find a lot of comfort in talking to the Alere nurses. They are all (well, almost all) so nice and pleasant. I'm glad my doctor opted to do this instead of hospital bedrest.

I just started the trebutaline pump also. My Dr says that the symptoms from the medicine will start to decrease (jittery/shakiness/sweating etc). Did you find that to be true? i'm 33 weeks, so I wont have to take this for too long thankfully

The major jitters and shakiness stopped for me after a couple of days. This is my last day on the pump, I'm so excited. I'm 34 weeks today and the doctor is saying nature can take its course from here... Yeah!!
