I am 28 weeks and both of my girls are head down...and I am carrying pretty low. As a result, now that Baby B has made that final turn EVERY TIME I stand up from either sitting or laying, I have to pee. Not to mention just having to pee all the dang time anyway.

I have a hard time drinking tons of water because frankly, I would live in the bathroom if I did! Anyone else shy away from drinking a ton of water...and how much am I supposed to be drinking???

    Thanks!

Its hard for me to drink a lot of water too but you can also get water from many things other than water such as fruit! A lot of women on here say they drink 100 + oz. a day of water. I told my dr that I drink about 64 and she said that is plenty. I am 30 weeks and have had no swelling. HTH!

I had a really hard time drinking all that water too. My OB said when I felt like I had drank enough water....drink more.
    I did my best (though I know I didn't get 100oz a day)!

I second the fruit :good: Watermelon really tasted good to me while I was pregnant and was good for me!

I loved watermelon while I was pregnant.

It is hard and it turned me off to water for a while after I had the babies. Just keep on chuggin' the stuff down, it really does help.

I think anything but soda counts towards fluid intake. So you can drink juice or milk and have that go towards fluid intake. It's nice for a change of pace. Not that you should drink 50+ oz of milk or juice..... but a glass or milk and a glass of juice...... ;)

Oh, and fruit! Grapes were on sale at the store for 99 cents a pound and I bought a ton. DD and I have been eating them up all week!

Ugh ... water. When I was preg with my twins, and having lots of BH contractions, I was told to drink 1 gallon a day ... (or 128 oz) ... it stunk! I felt like all I was doing was drinking and peeing!

But it helped! Totally calmed down the contractions ... and still, probably once a month, they got so strong that I went ot L&D, and they said I was dehydrated, and hooked me up to an IV ... and sure enough, once I was hydrated, the contractions stopped.

Just keep trying to drink, drink, drink!

I made a pitcher of crystal light every morning and drank it all day (adding ice and water to it along the way). I couldn't do just plain water. :pardon:

I am an avid water drinker, usually it's about all I drink but lately it seems so blah. I needed something with a little more kick to it. So I bought a bunch of limes and add a slice to my water. It's helped a lot!

I agree with the watermelon too! YUM!

I am a water lover too, but I have to cut back around bedtime or I am up and down to the bathroom all night. I feel like I live in the bathroom I am there so much.

I also drink decaf sweet tea (southern thing). I use organic raw sugar and only add 1/2 cup for a big pitcher. That is a good little treat away from water. I also have 2 or 3 sodas a week.

Good Luck, I am huge, but not much swelling.
