Anyone else having this problem (stroller/carseats)

I had the stroller and carseats all picked out that I want - the Graco DuoGlider and two Snugride carseats in Ivy League pattern. Well, now the ONLY website where I could find Ivy League, doesn't have the car seats available! [IMG]

So I've started looking at other patterns (I'm definitely getting the graco stuff for sure) and even on Graco's website... I like a lot of the double stroller patterns, but then I can't find carseats any where that match them! And vice versa... I like a lot of the car seat patterns, but can't find a duo stroller to match.

Is anyone else having this problem?? There are a few that I've found both of.. like the mystic pattern, family tree, etc., but all the ones I really like - no luck! [IMG]

I would get the two carseats in the pattern you really like and then get the double snap-n-go. Once they they are here you can decide what you'd really like in a double stroller and get one then.

About this time of year I think Graco changes their patterns which might be why you are having trouble finding Ivy League.

We got a Duoglider travel system that included one infant seat. And we also got the additional infant seat in the same pattern. All came from BRU.

I had the same problem with the Graco Clover design. So I went with Emerson. I thought about going with the Meadow design (it's new) but I will be at the baseball and football field alot with my other 2 kids so I went with the darker colors to hopefully help hide any dirt. It's also alittle more unisex since I'm having b/g twins.

Try ebay. I know my highchair I bought with DS at BRU 3 years ago was only found on ebay (it was brand new in the box still, just discontinued pattern). You might be able to find brand new carseats in the pattern you like just like I did with the highchair.

try the actual BRU store, when I went in they had some of last years patterns still in stock and were selling them at a discount. it's worth a try.

We got the car seats we really wanted and we're planning to order a double snap'n'go after they're born. I'm not expecting to need the stroller for a least a month or more, so that expense can wait just a bit. I just made sure the car seats I got were compatible with the snap'n'go.

I know for sure Ivy League was discontinued. BUT I just bought (last week) two carseats and the double stroller on albeebaby.com for a good discount. Check it out, they might still have them. The shipping is free and was fairly quick. Good luck.

We just bought a Graco double stroller this week. The only one available at the store had the Emerson pattern which is black and gold. It only came with one infant seat though. They did sell additional infant seats in that pattern for $90. Back in October though, I purchased two matching infant car seats at our local Mom's of Twins sale in the Blackwell pattern which is also black and gold. We have decided to use the car seat that came with the stroller plus one of the seats in the Blackwell pattern. We thought it might come in handy having different patterns (although the same colors) so we know which seat belongs to each baby. That way we don't have to re-adjust the straps constantly if they aren't the same size plus it might be helpful to tell the babies apart if they look alike.

Also a bit of advice, we bought one of the light green Graco travel strollers for my DD 2 1/2 years ago and we have a horrible time keeping it clean. The tray constantly has black smudges on it and every little spot shows up on the light green fabric. I bought it because I wanted something a little more "girly", but a darker color frame and fabric would probably hide the dirt better which I why we went with the darker pattern this time.

We found it cheaper to get the Duoglider and carseats in different patterns. We got a plaid pattern on the stroller and a solid pattern on the carseats. Since I was only using the carseats for 6 months and I was using the stroller for 3 years, matching wasn't really worth the money to us. Trying two different patterns is something you may want to look into, especially since you are having trouble finding exactly what you want.

We bought our stroller and carseats off the website tinyride.com We bought the metropolitan duoglider and one metropolitan carseat and the other one Giselle which is pink and black for our girl. Both of these carseats are the snugride with EPS which is the safest infant seat on the market. EPS stands for energy protection system and it's around the top half of the seat to help prevent head trauma. This was a must for us.Check out the info on EPS, only certain Graco snugrides have this. Not all snugrides which we found out after a lot of research. Good luck!

Try babycatalog.com too- they have the cheapest snugrides around- cheaper than Albeebaby and no tax (outside of CT) or shipping.

A lot of places have sold out of the snugrides with the EPS because of the consumer reports article- but I just bought two from this site.

BTW they have the cheapest snap-n-go and EZ2 nurse pillows I've seen, too. If you pay $25 you get 10% off for a year and can designate 3 friends to get that discount too. For us the $25 paid for itself with the $24 we saved on the carseats. We'll probably get our snap-n-go there too (10% off! Already cheaper than anywhere!0

    Good luck!
