So i have been dealing with these pains down in my pelvic area for about two weeks now. I am 20 weeks along, and they really hurt.It seems if i do anything productive around my house i start to get really sharp pains down in my pelvic area, and then at around 7:00 everynight i start to have pretty strong braxton hicks that bother me until i fall asleep. My doc office said that they are really normal,so i was just wondering if anyone else is dealing with all this pain. I go see the specialist on tues for my detailed ultra sound and all of that and cant wait to ask him about all of this.I cant wait to see how these little girls are doing in there.I hope theres no ttts going on!

Yes! I have had them super bad this time. This is my second pregnancy, and I only remember having them once in my first singleton pregnancy. I started getting those EXACT pains somewhere around 20 weeks. I get them every few days now, deep in the pelvis, around my hips and lower in the bottom. So unpleasant. The first time I got them, I went to L & D freaking out.... they said it was just my uterus stretching for twins and my pelvis softening and stretching for "delivering" twins. They said it was normal. Well, I am now almost 29 weeks and the pain is back now, whenever I overdue it during the day, and when I get out of bed. So not fun. I just hope my body makes it to at least 34 weeks!

I would take those pains/contractions as your body's way of telling you to slow down and rest more, and drink a lot more water.

Yes honey! I know exactly what you're talking about!
It started for me a couple months ago. No fun at all. Basically your body produces a hormone during pregnancy that causes your joints and ligaments to stretch in prep for childbirth. Invest in a maternity support band. It doesn't eliminate it but it can make standing more bearable. It even hurts me to roll over in bed most nights. From what I've heard it doesn't ease up until you deliver. FUN!

Ohhhhhh sweetie. I was just about to post about this same issue. I am so with you. My pains started about a week a so or go and are very similar to what you're describing. I get these INTENSE pains down in my lower pelvis. I suspect that the babies may be resting down there. Sometimes I have to go to the bathroom feeling like I need to pee about a thousand times (and usually I do pee at least a little bit). I'm up and down all night. And like you, my aches seem to get worse as the day progresses. Its like they migrate downward. Coupled with that is the fact that my left hip is KILLING me. If I stand or move around more than a little bit throughout the day then the hip pain kicks in. Oh, and lets not leave out the lower back pain that is already making it practically impossible for me to stand up and sit down. Seriously, I look like an arthritic old woman already. Sometimes my husband just has to laugh at me. I dont know how I'm going to make it through the next several months.

I dont know about you, but I suspect that my aches and pains are intensified by the fact that I am REALLY short. I'm only 5'0 tall and I have virtually NO torso. I mean, its really short -- we're probably talking less than 8 inches from breast to hip -- so there is a serious premium on space in my tummy area. I keep telling everyone that my babies are going to turn into the bloods and crypts and start a turf war in there! :bump:
