Anyone else feel like a professional wrestler?

I dont remember the struggles with my older DD but these boys seem to like to wrestle with everything from dinner in the highchairs to the much hated changing of the clothes. In the highchair I feel like I am constantly feeding an octopus that knows how to turn his head a just the right time to spill the food everywhere. The diaper changes are not so bad since I just learned the "keep you hand on their thigh" from another post but getting them into clothing is ridiculous. They wriggle, scream, roll, and work themselves up so much. I hope it is just a phase. I am in a full out sweat by the time we get into pajamas!! It's crazy. Any suggestions or this too shall pass??

I am in the wrestling stage too! I feel like I am out matched most of the time too! I have found that when I change their diapers and clothes that if I give them a toy (one that I keep specifically on the changing table & that is the only time that they see it) it helps to settle them a little bit most of the time. At the end of the day when they are really tired, it seems that the wiggling and writhing is much worse. Sometimes, my DH and I have to work together to get them in their jammies.

OMG!!!! Thank you for writing this post!! I just got done crying my eyes out because I feel like such a failure right now. My babies have bad colds and are just so mad at ME!! They are smiling at anyone but me...They fight me on anything and everything right now. I almost just thought not to put them in jammies, lotion them up after the bath...and heck, even putting a diaper on this point makes me cry. And, they are strong, aren't they?? (And, I lift weights!??!!)

Anyway, ((((((Hugs))))) to the both of you!! (and, anyone else in this phase!)

I am SO glad you posted this. My Evan is very tame - he loves to snuggle and doesn't mind diaper changes, getting dressed, his bottle - anything. He just stares into my eyes and smiles. James on the other hand is a wild man! I was beginning to wonder if there was something wrong with him...I'm so glad to hear he's just a regular, wiggly, little guy! When you only have two babies...it's hard not to compare.

Not that I am glad that you all are experiencing this "wrestling" too, but I am glad I am not the only one. I too, compare my children all the time. I think it just comes with the "twin" territory.

Funny! I just posted in our buddy club yesterday that I sweat every second and I used to not be someone who sweat!
