Anyhone else have a horrible cold?

Hi Friends,

The gals and I have had bad colds since last week. It started with slight runny noses but has now progressed to REALLY runny noses and lots of chest congestion. We are all hoarse from coughing so much! Anyone else have this in their house? We don't have fevers or sore throats just seems like tons of phlegm. Sorry if that was TMI!

I have been treating them with tylenol cough and runny nose medicine at night so they can sleep and I run a cool mist humidifier. I have been taking mucinex which helps but makes me feel a bit spacy. Anyone else dealing with this awful cold?

Oh yes - ours is going on 7 days now with no signs of improving. Bryce developed croup from it, but he no longer has the croupie cough. Each night I go to sleep thinking maybe tomorrow we'll all see some improvement, but OH NO - this puppy's not going anywhere! I've got the cool mist going too, and giving them regular tylenol when they're really cranky (too young for the other kind). I'm still taking Dayquil every morning and taking antibiotics for my double ear infection as a result!

Our girls were sick for three weeks. Thankfully they're over it now. Both girls started with runny noses and coughing and then it progressed to lots and lots of coughing. And, they also complained that their ears hurt but they didn't have ear infections. The doctor told me that their lungs were clear and she diagnosed Kaitlyn with a sinus infection. Kelly just had a really bad cold. Thankfully I never wound up with it (DH did too) since I'm preggo and can't take anything.

I hope that you and your girls feel better soon. It's lousy to be sick any time of the year but the summer is especially a bummer.

 

We've got it to and sounds jsut as bad as everyone elses. One day we will wake up and i think we are feeling better, then it hits again in the afternoon. I got an antibiotic for me and only on eof the girls has an ear infection, the otehr just the cold with funny nose and cough. DH is just downing nyquil by the hour. We were all miserable here for a good week. Again today, I am seeing the light at teh end of the tunnel...maybe. Isn't it awful. My MIL was suppose to come and visit. SHe decided not to come because we were all sick.. I'm like great..right when we need her the most. She is so ridiculous!!! Anyways...here's to hoping we all get better soon!
