anybody know about cervical length problem?

At 16 weeks, my cervical length was measured at 2.4cm. Now I am at 18 weeks, the ultrasound specialist said the measurement was right at the border, wondering if there's anything I should be really worried.

What did your OB say about it?
I haven't been at the border yet (though I'm getting close now) so I'm not totally sure, but if it shortens too quickly you might need to be on bedrest for a bit? Definitely ask your doctor though!

 

I was waiting all day today for the OB to call but she didn't call. Last night after ultrasound the specialist said she called the OB at home and the OB said it was fine. Then the specialist also told me my OB would call me today to talk to me... Maybe I should call the OB's office tomorrow to see what my OB thinks.

 

I would call the OB's office tomorrow and get some answers for your own peace of mind. GOod luck.

 

I would definitely see what your OB tells you. At 25 weeks my cervix measured 1.8 so I was sent for steriod shots and put on immediate bedrest. Then at 27 weeks my cervix measured 1.0 so I was admitted to the hospital. When I got to the hospital that day they realized I was having contractions every 2 minutes so I have earned myself a nice extended stay here in the hospital. (It's no wonder my cervix was shortening so fast!!) My cervix is now down to 0.8 and I am 29 weeks 3 days. I know every situation is different but if your cervix is truly measuring short for the point of pregnancy you are at your OB will be wanting to watch you a little closer. Hang in there! My OB thinks I can still make it quite a while before we have to deliver these little girls. Stay positive and just try to take it easy!
