& is it just me.. or is even the lowest speed ridiculously fast? my boys scream the minute i turn it on.. i just put them in it with the music on which kind of defeats the purpose.. i would have invested in another rainforest bouncer if i knew this was the case!!! <_<

Once they get heavier it will slow down. Its by weight.

Once they get heavier it will slow down but in the mean time you can drape a blanket over the edge and that will slow it down :)

I have two of them and I LOVE THEM!

The problem now is... They are 18 lbs and the darn thing won't GO!

I have to get up and give it a push when they're in it!! How quickly they grow!! I'm thinking weight limit must be 20 lbs or something coming up fast!! The blanket suggestion is great!! If I put a blanket in now... It stops!!

I'm not going to recommend this as it's probably against all of the safety warnings on the swing...

But when our kids were that small, we put both of them together in the swing. We swaddled them, they snuggled their heads together, and fell right asleep.

I second the "draping a blanket" over the swing suggestion. This is what I do and it works just fine!

I don't think we EVER used the slowest setting. Hmmm. The blanket draped definitely slows it down. In our case, it completely STOPS it now and REALLY slows it down if I even add a blanket NOT draped. My boys are getting too big. I believe the weight limit is 25 lbs, but I can't imagine that. Mine aren't 25 lbs yet, but if I put them in it, turn it all the way up, turn on the music, & turn on the mobile....it barely works. The music sounds like music when batteries are dying (despite the fact that it's plugged in), the mobile barely turns & the swing barely sways while it makes this God awful purring noise. I think my boys are FINALLY too big. In my opinion, the swing's highest setting was never all that great!

The FP Rainforest Swing? That's the reason we got it, is to plug it in! There was a white cord that came from the lower leg (the right leg looking at it, I think) & just plugged into the wall. I don't know....I've plugged it in since day 1. Never put a SINGLE battery in it!
