Just looking for some hope or inspiration. I know my body will never be completely the same (like this lovely stretch marks all over my belly), but I would like to fit into my old clothes some day. It's been rough with the holidays...I got used to eating a lot and having sweets, so I actually gained MORE weight after I had them. I'm finally back to my post-pregnancy weight, but I'm looking forward to losing these last 10-12. Any success, advice?

I think that it was around 4 months that I started to fit in my pre-pregnancy pants. Shirts are a whole other story - I am still BFing so I had to go out and buy large tops - I am thinking the old ones will fit once I stop BFing.

You can lose the wieght but dont expect for the old stuff to fit as well. I lost all mine and an additional 14 lbs yet none of my prepregnancy clothes fit right...especially the shirts, the dont cover my tummy well enough [IMG]

Well, I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight from being pregnant with the twins. But I was BFing DS still when I got pregnant with the girls and hadn't gotten back down to that pre-pregnancy weight. So I'm still trying to find the light at the end of that tunnel. I still have 10-15 to go.

Well, I lost the majority of my weight (I gained 77 lbs with my pregnancy) with BFing my boys but I still held on to the last 15lbs until I started Weight Watchers. I now reached my pre-pregnancy weight but I have alot of loose skin left so have this bulge over my jeans...Ugh! I did start working out just over 3 weeks ago and it has helped alot...I walk on my treadmill 5X a week, and I also go to a mom & Baby exercise class 2X a week...hopefully I will shrink back most of my skin and hips within the next couple of months...as for the really loose skin on my stomach...that will have to be fixed with a good ol' tummy tuck!

Gained 75 while i was pregnant, still have about 10 more lbs to go. Bfing has really helped.

I was really underweight when I got pregnant (surprised I even conceived!), I gained 60 pounds and lost 40, so I am back to a healthy weight for my height according to the BMI, but I feel awful. I am bony from belly button up, then I am huge around hips/stomach. I hate my new body, I can get jeans on, but everything leaks over. And the more weight I lose, the bonier I get up top. I'm really thinking about finding a p/t job so I can start saving for the TT.

I guess my experience offers some hope -- I'm actually a few pounds below pp weight (I gained about 60 pounds during the pregnancy) and am having to pay close attention to eating each day so that I don't get too thin. (I know, don't hate me folks! My tummy still looks like a train wreck, if that helps [IMG]). Breastfeeding and dealing with two bad sleepers (who demanded lots of walking and bouncing up until a week ago) were my keys to success.

I'll offer some hope too. I hit my prepreg weight at 5 months post-baby. All of my clothes fit- except for many of my small shirts, due to my big bfing boobs. However, I'll be back on the Board of the Itty Bitty Titty Committee come the end of March when I wean.
    Good luck!

I gained 60lbs with my girls and was actually back in my pre-pregnancy jeans by 6 weeks. I still have a few more pounds to lose though before I am at my pp weight. I am worried about lose skin though, it is almost worth keeping the little "pouch" I have now to avoid it. I dont really have many stretch marks but my belly button is saggy and my belly looks like a deflated balloon when I lie down. My DH doesnt want me to lose any more weight b/c he likes my butt better now lol!

I was back to my pre pregnancy weight within a month, wearing my old clothes then too. I only gained 26 lbs with my boys, 10 lbs 8oz of that was them (and I've been told to double that number for all the other things-placenta(s), water, etc.). So I just had a few to lose. Now before everyone starts hating me, I still have about 25 lbs or so to lose from my first pregnancy, and she'll be five next month!

Unfortunately, yes!! I came out of my pregnancy weighing 10 lbs less than I did before I got pg due to the fabulous GD diet (I was thrilled, BTW). I'm sad to say that 3 months of being home all day and I've put nearly all of that 10 lbs back on! Blast those double stuff oreos!

I am!! but I don't fit into anything the nice way. The weight is off but the hips are still spread but twin skin is dwindling. I wear the support by medela when I work out and that has helped a ton -- makes the stomach area sweat!

    HI,

yep, I'm back to my pre-pregnancy weight, but my body is sooo different. My abdomen is still pretty extended (I look pregnant still) and my twin skin is not very pleasant.

I'm into a few of my pp pants, but I have to still shrink my belly to get into the others. It's frustrating.

Thankfully, I'm still breastfeeding so I have 6 more months to work at pulling off pounds.

YEP! Yesterday I was able to fit into a pair of pre-twin pants (2 pregnancies ago). With the twins I was back to normal weight 3 months post partum. With this baby it felt like it was taking forever. I still have some extra skin rolling around my belly area, but daily walks and BF really help.

i'm so relieved to hear everyone is in the same boat essentially. i have lost the pounds but people still ask if i am pregnant (i weigh 128 now) and i don't want to lose any more weight but my belly just dangles in the breeze above my pants-no matter what the "rise" is on them. i am working on toning but i know it will never be the same. well that is okay with me- i have some really pretty babies to show for it! Yes, I'm back to pre-weight. I was really underweight before so it came off pretty easy (just the last 2 weeks, I reached my weight), but I still have twin skin. It is getting better every day, but I don't think it will go away. Body shapers work great!

Yes, I am back to my prepregnancy weight. Dh and I joined a gym and we go there 4 days a weeks. Its nice because they allow children from 3months and up. So it gives a chance to workout together and keep each other motivated.

    I was 160 (size 10) before, gained 43 pounds, and was 157 at my 6-week check-up.

I still have about 15 pounds to go. I work out very sporadically though, but starting Monday I'm starting a TEAM weight loss/fitness program that meets 3 times a week because I am determined to be down to pre-preg weight by the time they turn one. I now have less than 2 months to do that. This program is offered at my gym and the last round of participants had amazing results - they post their results for everyone to see.

It's hard because I could always eat what I wanted and not gain (not lose either, but didn't need to pre-preg). And lack of exercise is killing me. I did 15 weeks of bedrest during my pregnancy.

I'm back to the same weight, but fitting into clothes is a whole other story. Although I weigh LESS than I did before I got pregnant, NOTHING fits right. It's the twin skin!!!

I gained 50 lbs with the twins. I lost 40 in 2 weeks. I lost the rest plus some about 2-3 months. Things fit differently, even more so than after my singletons. I'm thicker in the waist. I credit bfing and no time to eat (those early months) to my weight loss. You can do it!!!

I still have about 8 lbs to go for this pregnancy, but like a pp I still have weight to lose from my older DD (I gained a ton with her!). Work seems to be helping - I'm down about 4 lbs in the two weeks I've been back.

I am so thankful to be back in all but one of my pp pants/skirts, but I had to buy all new tops for my return to work.... (even though I was nursing last winter when I bought the stuff I had! Got to love the "feeding two of them" effect.) I say I'm grateful because I had bought a whole new wardrobe last winter to accomodate my post dd pudge and simply couldn't afford to do it again! I think what's saving me is that the 8 lbs I have to lose was weight I had taken off RIGHT before getting pregnant.

Though I'm thrilled to be back in my pants, what I want to know is whether I will EVER EVER look the same nekkid! [IMG]

I actually weigh about 20 lbs less that my PP weight, but the size I wear didn't change much. I think I went down one or two sizes. The size depends on the brand. Some of my old clothes still fit fine, but others are too big. I think most of my weight loss was from my butt, breasts, and legs. My waist seems to be the same and my chest (ribcage area) seems larger. I weight less and my overall shape has definitely changed.

I gained 37lbs during pregnancy at my 4 week check up I only had 6lbs to lose. I am back to my pre pregnancy size although like everyone else said my clothes don't fit the same. I tried breastfeeding and was only able to do it for 3 weeks. My tummy actually looks almost as good as before pregnancy so I was very excited about that. I do try to work out at least 3-4 times a week and I am able to take the babies to our YMCA. They have a wonderful daycare.

I tried to attach a picture of myself, this was when the babies were 2 weeks old.

Good luck to you, hopefully you weight will melt off.
