Our girls turn 3 in two weeks and they still are in their cribs. They do just fine in them. They do have crib tents..only because Chloe did climb into her sisters a few months ago and we were worried, but they love them and call them their bed tents. My mom says to leave them in their cribs as long as possible, but I feel like they are getting to old for it. But then again, I am really worried about messing up bedtime and nap time. So, I was just curious about everyone else. TIA!

My girls are 2 and still in cribs. I plan to have them use them as long as they fit. My mom said I slept in a crib until I was 6...mainly because I was the last of 8 kids and we didn't have a bed for me. I don't see anything wrong with it.

E and E will be 3 in November and I plan to leave them as long as I can. Our kids are small in size and they love their beds. Also, it helps Mom and Dad feel better to know they are not able to get up and move around the house when we are sleeping.

All of my kids slept in a crib with a tent until at least three. I agree w/ PP. We feel so much better knowing that they are exactly where they should be all night long. I wish they made tents for sleep-walking ten-year-olds!

We switched them out a week before they turned 3. They were perfectly happy in their cribs but I felt that it was time. We have had no problems with the transition and they love their big kid beds!

My boys will be three in October and I plan to use the cribs as long as I can. We have the tents too. My boys jump and playin bed for at least an hour before they take a nap so I am not about to make bedtime a headache for us. I see nothing wrong with still using cribs.

I'm with the pp also. Ours are 22 months and still in theirs. I plan on leaving them in for as long as I can, if that til 3 or a little after. So be it. They love their cribs.

K&M turned three last October. They are still in their cribs. They love their cribs. We do not have any crib tents.

We went away over the weekend and they each slept in their own twin bed with a bed rail. They did really well! I was so happy and proud of them.

Since being back home, Katherine has mentioned that she doesn't want to sleep in her crib anymore but she has had no problem come bedtime. She also was very adamant about not wanting anyone else to sleep in "her big bed" at the hotel!!!!!!

My boys were about 3.5 when we switched their cribs to toddler beds.

We switched when they were 3.5 as well. It was a smooth transition. Good Luck! :)

Mine were between 3 and 3 1/2 when we took the rail of the crib. The transition was actually smoother than I thought that it would be. We waited becuase they loved their cribs and I saw no reason to change what was not broken (they also did not have crib tents).

I am happy to read about other 3 year olds still in their cribs!! Alex is in a toddler bed (and wanders during the night, I HATE it!) but Sarah is still in her crib. She's a peanut, so she fits just fine and we don't have a crib tent. She's never tried to climb out and LOVES her crib. She has just recently mentioned that she wants a "big girl bed" so I imagine we'll be making that transition soon.

My girls will be 3 in April and are still in cribs - not tents. They don't try to climb out or in so we are leaving everything the way it is for now. I've been wondering though, when is too old to be in a crib - so I'm glad you posted this.

Mine are 3 and still in cribs, though they get themselves in and out now! We are moving in a week and a half and plan on starting out in the new place in new twin or toddler beds (still haven't decided).

We just got the girls into twin beds this past weekend. They turned three last November. I was afraid that once I switched them that they would be up and about all night, but except for the first night when they got out to look for monsters in their closet, they have stayed in bed.

I am hoping mine will be in cribs until they are 3. :)

This happened to us at 2.6, so I knew they were ready. They did great. Still at 3.5 they never get out of bed unless DH or I come in. We never had tents either.

My daughter is just under 3...

She was in her crib until this past weekend. We finally transitioned her to a big girl bed. It went surprisingly smooth. Obviously, it could be very different with 2 to keep each other occupied.

I am definitely of the belief that if they are happy in their, keep them in there as long as possible. The only reason I moved her was because I needed her crib for one of the twins.
