Has anybody got any tips or home remedies for swollen hands and feet? Would diabetic compression socks help at all?

I couldn't do anything about the hands but I tried to stay off my feet as much as I could and when I was sitting I tried to keep my feet up. I even slept in bed with my legs elevated which seemed to help but still didn't take all the swelling away. I don't know if the compression stockings would help, maybe ask your doctor about that one. I tried them but they were just to uncomfortable to where and left got to tight for me. Best of luck

I couldn't do anything about my hands either. I did try to keep my legs elevated during the day to minimize swelling, I propped them on boxes at work, sat on a recliner at home. When I went to bed at night, the swelling would go down but as soon I was up, it was back. I did not try compression stockings so they might be worth asking your doctor about

I have had bad swelling in my legs and at 16 weeks I am still working 40 hours a week. I agree with the other posts to keep your legs elevated as much as possible. My doctor recommended Jobst stockings. You must be measured for them to get the correct fit, but the come in various styles and mmhg (compression amounts). The best place to find them is a compounding pharmacy that also does home healthcare supplies. They should have someone that can fit you. They have made a big difference for me, I tried regular maternity compression hose, and they did not work as well. With the proper fit, they should not be too uncomfortable. I have a pair of open toe, but if you do a lot of walking, the toe are rides up, so I have ordered a closed toe pair that should be better. Good luck & keep drinking your water to keep as much flushed out as possible.

Make sure you call your dr just to let them know what is going on. My dr told me that you can actually swell if you are not drinking enough water - sounds strange to me but that is what they said. I felt like I was drinking an ocean already but they told me to drink more water and also Boost shakes.

I agree with the PP that elevation and water both do work. But also, as this has just recently happened to me, it may be a sign of pre-e. So make sure that when you're at your OB, you let them know whats going on. Just because they aren't super swollen the day of your appt, doesnt mean its not a cause for concern. Not trying to scare you at all with the horrible pre-e suggestion, but I just found out at 31 weeks, after a very quiet and smooth pregnancy.

If you're tired of water (like I was about week 18 into this) juices are a good alternative (just want to watch the sugar content on some of them)

Hope all this helps and hope you get to feeling better soon.
