Okay - pre-twin pregnancy, I really was one of the most modest people in the world. I didn't even like to change clothes in front of my friends. Funny, 26 weeks and many miserable moments later, I may be getting over that. ;)

On Friday night, I started having horrible pain that I attributed to hemorrhoids. Over the weekend it just got worse... the point to where I couldn't sleep. After an awful day at work on Monday (and after taking a bath at 3 a.m. on Tuesday morning), I went to the doctor yesterday morning - a thrombosed, external hemmorhoid. That meands a hemmorhoid that has gotten a blood clot in it and the pain is pretty intense. Creams and Tucks that gave normal hemorrhoids a relief aren't helping, and one can only take so many baths in a day. I'm spending as much time as possible laying down (to relieve the pressure) and taking warm baths often in hopes the clot will begin to resolve within 7 days to 2 weeks from when it started (that means a week from this Friday). So far, no luck - and, when I do start to feel any better, I have to go the bathroom and end up back where I started. (I currently eat 20-30 grams of fiber per day, am taking Colace and drink 80-90 oz of water to help with constipation.)

HELP!!! Any suggestions -or- women that have had a TEH and it resolved successfully?? If it doesn't start to feel better, they are talking about excising the clot, which also comes with pain and the possibility the clot will come back. As much as I hurt right now, that sounds horribly painful!!! Or, if you had a TEH excised, how bad was the pain comparatively?

    Thanks, ladies

Sorry I can't help you much on the lancing/surgery front. I did have horrible ones after dd's birth, couldn't even sit, it took 4 weeks to feel normal and 6 weeks for them to disapear...needless to say I am worrying about them coming back this time. I would use wet wipes instead of toilet paper and ice packs to help numb them. Also a donut pillow might be good to help you sit, it was my only saving grace for those few weeks! Good luck!
