Well I was hoping I would be able to skip this symptom but its arrived with a vengance. I have only been eating one meal a day and surviving on crackers here and there. Water makes me gag and I am only drinking 7up and gingerale, I cant stand the smell of almost anything . This is day 5 and I called my NPT who is a friend of the family and she gave me some suggestions. Gingersnaps, ginger teas and vitamin B6 and told me to keep trying to eat even if its hard to do. I had MS with my girls but it wasnt like this. I was able to find foods I liked and could keep down and it came and went. This time there isnt any easing up and I feel so crumby. Anyone have anything they tried that helped them? My friend mentioned there are medicines out there that help but I would like to try some natural things first, then go on some meds. Thank you!!!

I was living alot like you, but add to that sweet tarts and then sour patch kids. The intense sour would knock out the urge to want to hurl and I would be ok for a bit.
Get as much rest as you can! Being well rested helps but it's easier said than done when you have other little ones around.
Also some people like the Sea Bands for motion sickness, they say they help.

Have you tried lemonade? Sour things worked like a charm for me, as did barbecue chips (oddly enough). Saltines made my m/s way worse. Sometimes when I felt really yucky I would drink some lemonade, nibble my chips and then snack on whatever appealed to me while I felt decent.

I was super super sick with my twins....one thing that helped me a lot was Ginger Gum. It is found at CVS (drug store) in the aisle with the motion sickness products. It comes in a box. It's a weird taste at first, but I chewed that gum all the time and it helped A LOT!

    Hello,

Lurker here, hoping to soon be able to join this pregnant after twins group. Anyhow, I was so sick with my twins...ie vomitting 5 times a day more or less for the first 18 weeks. I was paranoid to take anything although I was offered anti nausea meds. Finally, after trying many of the homeopathic remedies that some of the other responders mentioned, I started taking a 1/2 tablet of unisom every night before bed. This was suggested by midwives and my OB. It worked like a dream. I am so sorry you are struggling with this. It is really the worst and I can't imagine how hard it must be with kids to take care of. Good Luck!

I agree with the pp.....I take a half tab of unisom before bed.......If I don't I'm throwing up all day. It has really been a godsend for me with this baby. I was throwing up for about 2 weeks straight before I started it and I wish I would have done it so much sooner.

I gagged down ginger candy (spicy and icky) and it didn't really work for me either. Try pregnancy tea for sipping. I put a smidge of sugar in it and it was really quite delicious!! (If you don't want to buy any, I have some left over that I would mail you for you to try - not much, but.... PM me if you are interested)

The one thing that tasted great (and exactly the same when it sometimes came back up) were smoothies. I put frozen berries and a banana and little apple juice and then some ice cream- vanilla - needed the calcium had a hard time getting milk down - and blended that up. That usually made 2 smoothies. One in the fridge and one in me and I was golden for the day! And....if it comes back up, not so horrible! :D

I was on Zofran for the ENTIRE pregnancy and threw up for the last time on the O.R. table! NICE! I hope you get relief soon.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm not too far past that stage to feel your pain. I agree that sour things worked best for me. The sour patch kids are a great idea. Also, you might try Preggie Pop Drops. They also come in suckers, but I thought the drops were more convenient. I've seen them at BRU and I bought mine at a maternity store.

    Hope this part passes quickly!

Ooohhh...do I have huge empathy for you. I was sick all day, every day, with my girls. I'm SO sorry you feel this way!

I second a lot of the above...ginger snaps, gingerale, SEA BANDS(!!!!!), lemon drops (the candy), plain pasta, bland chicken noodle soup, crackers. These were my staples.

ETA: Okay, I hope this doesn't come off the wrong way but I just thought of something and I started laughing. Didn't you have a blinkie that said "morning sickness wanted"? Oh no!!!! I am laughing only because I remember when I was TTC I had friends telling me things like "oh just wait until you have morning sickness" and I used to reply "I CAN'T WAIT!!". Isn't it funny that the "be careful what you wish for" sometimes holds true. Big :hug99: to you and I hope you get some relief SOON and this is very short lived.

Sorry ou aren't feeling well. How aweful. I had horrible nausea with this pregnancy until around 10 weeks...I had NOTHING with the twins though! Guess I got lucky. I lived on chicken nuggets for the first 10 weeks b/c it's the only thing that actually tasted good to me...now I do'nt want them...lol! A pp suggested lemonade...the sourness is supposed to help with the stomach. I drank a lot of that. I've head that the Preggy Pops that they sell at BRU and Motherhood help, but I didn't have much luck with those, they made me more nauseous. Hope you find some relief soon.

Are you vomitting or just nauseous? Irregardless, try to stay hydrated, that's most important!
