Just wondering, we are getting ready to hit the road this summer, and I recall on our trips as a teen in my parents motorhome, that we weren't usually restrained. We (my brother and I) would be sleeping in the bed above my dad driving, or sitting at the table playing cards. My whole point is, do you keep your kids restrained at all times, while traveling?

I don't have an RV but gosh I would sure love one!! If we did have one though, I would DEFFINATELY keep them restrained as long as it's being driven. First and foremost, IMO it is a vehicle and there is more potential for harm to children if there should be a sudden stop or a hit. They could go flying a greater distance or hit many obstacles in the way. Better to be safe than sorry. GL and have a great trip!

We rented one for a trip to Florida a couple summers ago and K&K were in their car seats every moment the vehicle was in motion. I layed a sheet down on the couch then buckled them side by side.

Here In the state of AZ it is the law to be buckled in when a veical is in motion.

I have always wondered about this. Do RVs come with latch attachments? or seatbelts on the couch? How exactly do you get the carseat attached?

The one we had we rented so not sure what year it was but it had seat belts on the couch as well as at the kitchen table but with the table up there was not enough space for the car seats to sit comfortably which is why I chose the couch.

Going on an RV adventure this summer sounds awesome! It's pretty different from back in the day, isn't it? Nowadays, there's a lot more focus on safety. You might want to check out etrailer for some safety tips or gear to keep the kids secure while you're on the move. It's all about finding the right balance between safety and having a fun, relaxed trip. Have a fantastic journey!
