My kids have been falling all over the wood floors and with the colder weather, I figure should buy them some slippers. Which ones do you love? Can they put them on by themselves?

    Thanks!

Old Navy has some inexpensive fleece slippers with decent gripper bottoms (not amazing, but ok). The slipper part comes up over the ankles but has velcro so it's easy to put on. You can find them in the stores and on the Old Navy website for $5 now I think.

We have the old navy fleece slippers. They look like slipper boots. The boys leave them on really well, and I really like them. I haven't noticed them slipping on our hardwood or anything. You can also do a little puffy paint on the bottom to help them grip more. One of my boys hates socks, but he leaves these on really well. And they are washable!!

Mine our younger and dont like to wear things on their feet since they are working on cruising, what I did was, we have one of those mats that snaps together they are the big foam squares and you can lay them down over whatever floor you currently have. They are soft, allow for traction and keep my little ones feet warmer than cruising around the bare hardwood.

Robeez booties are the best and worth every penny.

    Padraigs!!!!

Love them... my girls are on their 2nd pair and I will buy them again when they grow out of these. I have also bought them as shower gifts. I have had Robeez too up to when the when the girls were around 18m but they aren't as cozy nor as durable.

Padraigs are knit heavy yarn wool bootie style slipper that does not fall off and the sole is leather and sheep's fleece on the inside (this gives it a little cushioning too). When the bottom start to develop a patina from use, you toss them in the washer and the bottom isn't as slippery anymore. They also suggest washing them regularly as it help prevent piling of the wool.

My girls use them indoors for the winter, but in the spring to fall they have worn them outdoors too like moccasins. Since they are 100% sheep's wool/fleece they breath. And barefoot they are super cuddly when you wiggle your toes in the fleece!!! The sizing is pretty generous too and last though more than one regular shoe sizing. And they stand up to use really well. My Robeez leather started getting cracked after washing and stiff -- my Padraigs look awesome and I've washed them heaps of times. And they are comfortable to fall asleep in too.

How do I know...? I got so jealous of them I bought a pair of the adult ones. LOL :good: I am actually wearing them now.
