My sister had a barbie tent when she was little. It was on a plactic pole frame which had elastic inside so all you had to do was pop it together and pull the cover over it and it wasn't hard at all. I don't know if they still make them like this. We are looking at buying one at target that is dora and has a tunnel

My parents have a little fabric hut from Ikea for the kids. It is smaller than a playhouse, more like a tent, but they love it nonetheless!

The Latitude one looks really cute!!! I hope to hear comments about that one...we are looking for bday and Christmas gifts as well.

I'm guessing the frame is pretty sturdy but just wondering if a child fell against the wall would the house "tip over" or just lean a little or if they put their elbows on the green platform and put their weight on it from the inside the house what would happen?

On the barbie tent it just fell over but that's good because then there are no bumps or bruises

Our boys got one for their second b-day too, from my parents. I researched a bit, and personally I loved the one we got from discovery toys. It is more expensive (about $50) compared to the one's in the store. But my guys are hard on things and ripped apart some of the fabric cheepo ones we already had. This one is much more durable and has four diffrent sides (one is a post office, one a grocery store, one a puppet theater, and I can't recall the other side right now). It folds up easy, and we put it away and take it out all the time. They love it! I don't know anyone that sells discovery toys, but I found it online. Good luck house hunting!

i'm not sure if you have girls, boys, or both, but I just saw a commercial for something called the Rose Petal Cottage by Playskool. It looks absolutely adorable, and you can buy things seperately to go inside of it..you can open or close it when you use it, and the website says it's easy to take apart when needed. I think it comes with a stove too!! Look it up on the playskool.com website. It's adorable!!
