Any other kids lactose intolerant?

I have a DD who has an allergy to egg whites, and now I think I have found out that my DS is lactose intolerant (DH is also lactose intolerant). Anyone else dealing with this, is there anyway to find out for sure if this is the issue?
We actually don't give regular cows milk to the twins, we only use camel's milk (I know its strange, but we live in the dessert so its readily available, and due to DD allergies we thought camels' milk would be a better first choice for milk), so I think that I have noticed that on the odd occasion that I feed them some of my food (cereal with cows milk or oatmeal with cows milk) that DS gets diarrhea which results in the most horrendous cases of diaper rash I have ever seen. So at this point, I have diagnosed him myself with lactose intolerance, but I am not sure if this is just a coincidence that his diarrhea subsided when I stopped with cows milk...is there any other way to confirm this other then me testing it and giving him cows milk again? BTW I can feed him regular cheese and yogurt and that doesn't seem to affect him at all..

I don't know much about lactose intolerance but I would definitely ask your pedi about it too. Good luck!

mmmm camel's milk? I bet that is really good! And probably way healthier than cow's milk. Cheese and yogurt don't make me have diarrhea, but a big ole bowl of cereal with regular milk will.

Can you try goat's milk instead of cow's milk?

Sounds like my granddaughters who are lactose intolerant. Diarrehea and vomiting within a very short time of ingesting anything with cows milk ( ice cream, cheese, etc). Here in the states there are lots of options ( although not necessarily cheap ones) so the girls can have these things without getting sick.
