All 5 of my kiddos are winter babies. Now, I am due in July! I have bought several onsies but I am wondering if I will need any light long sleeved sleepers and/or gowns. Also was there anything that you used with your summer baby that was so nice to have?! I am so excited to have a summer baby, maybe we won't be stuck in the house for months!?!

    Thanks!!

Sooooo exciting!!! And I saw your post about your u/s!!! Another little boy!! Yay!!!!

Annabella is a summer baby...June. I know I had a mix of clothes for her. The long sleeved onesies/nightgowns/sleepers for night time mostly-and the air conditioner/fans. If it was a really hot day/night, she hung out in onesies or cute little one piece short sleeved/short outfits.

I can't really think of anything I may have used with her that I didn't with them. I can't remember if you are near the beach/water etc....if so, maybe a sun shade of some sort for the baby if you go outside in the warm months to keep him shaded from the sun.

Thanks!!! I was thinking that a few light sleepers would be nice for night time and those times where it is cool indoors! I am SO excited about having another sweet little guy, AND about having a summer baby! oh my goodness with all 5 of the others, I could not do anything for so long because it was so cold out side! We moved a year ago, now we are in Missouri but I am thinking we may get out and about (walks, zoo that kind of thing) as soon as I feel like it, esp since a vacation is probably not in the picture this year and I will have 5 bored kids - so a sun shade would be a great idea! THANKS!

My twins are summer babies. We lived in onsies in late July early Aug. They were born june 18th but due to their size and prematurity we kept them in long sleeves and pants and hats alot that first month or so. When we went outside which was rare because they were so tiny they wore onsies.

My twins were born at the end of May and we had a really hot gorgeous summer that year. Our boys lived in onsies. I don't think they ever wore anything different. For sleep we'd swaddle them naked and put a fan on them because otherwise they'd just get too hot. When we'd go to the park we'd take a big blanket and a very large umbrella and lay them down on the grass. It would have been handier to have something that covered them completely to keep the bugs off too. You'll probably find having a summer baby so easy in comparison. I found it a big shock when winter hit and I had to deal with blankets and mitts and hats and running to the car

Congrats on the boy news! How exciting!

twins were summer babies. The were mostly in onesies but i had a few warmer options just in case. Is your house air conditioned? If so, you may want warmer clothes. My house isn't so that wasn't so much a concern.

More summer babies here: I used light long-sleeved onesies or long light pants a lot because we spent a lot of time out of doors and I was really afraid of the sun. Also, make sure you have a good sunshade for your pram, especially if you plan on being out and about with the other kids.

    Congratulations and enjoy the pregnancy!

My twins were also June babies. In the first few weeks we mainly used sleep sacks at night, onesies during the day. Later in the summer we actually did onesies at night too because we swaddled them and they would otherwise get too warm. I don't know what part of Missouri you are in, but in much of the state the humidity can be near tropical in the summertime. I would have 1 or 2 light cotton sleep n play type outfits for any evenings you are out but otherwise I think you are safe living in onesies all summer. It was great to have summer babies. Mine is due in late October and I am not looking forward to the long cold winter with a small baby!
