Any ideas for gifts for 2 yr old?

My DS will be 2 in November and wondering about some gift ideas for his b-day and then x-mas the next month?

So far there are a lot of great ideas for 2 yr. olds!!!

 

I bought the Parents cash register at Target for a friends 2 yr old DS and he LOVES it! At his party he was playing with it and a toy cell phone. He looked like a little accountant or broker! So cute!

 

My boys love anything that hooks together...pickup/trailer, tractor/implement, and any kind of truck...diggers, bulldozers, dump trucks (their favorites, they haul everything everywhere). Not to mention their tools...hammers (used lately for killing bugs), saw, wrenches, you name it!

 

My b/g twins just turned 2, and my son loovees cars and trucks. He also loves to play in the dirt/sand. They have a sand table at the daycare he goes to and he doesnt even want to leave when I go to pick him up. They have all the nifty little sifters and cups and things to use in the sand. All of my kids love to write/draw as well. I got them the little Doodles that have the magnet pen to draw without making a mess, and then you just erase it and start over. (my son asks me to draw a house, then erases and asks me to draw a house again. lol)
