Any Houston Area Moms?

I posted a similar message back when I was expecting , but Outnumbered's post looked so fun I had to try again. NONE of my friends have children so whenever we're out, I feel like such a burden with my two boys, 30 odd toys, and limo of a stroller in tow. I would love to hang out with people who look as weighed down as I do. If any of you are in the Houston area and are interested in having a meet-up, let me know. I promise I'm not weird and I don't smell funny (unless I'm wearing spit-up that day).

 

Meeee!! I would love to hang out with other Houston moms... but as we Houstonians know... two people can live "in" Houston and still live an hour and half away from each other! Maybe we could find a spot in town that's semi-close to everyone. So where exactly are you Larami? I'm in Cypress... on the other side of the world I'm sure!

My dd would be interested in getting together with other twin moms... She lives inside the loop and works in Midtown.
We have had the pleasure of meeting Carrie, when she was pregnant!! Seems so long ago!!

You may want to move this post to the Parents forum... I know there are a lot of Houston moms on here but they may not be looking in the first year forum.. unless you just wanted mom's of kids under a year...

I kind of just wanted moms with kids under a year, but I'm certainly opened. That's a good idea. And Carrie, I live at 610 and Stella Link (just outside the loop one exit from what was Astroworld), but my sister lives in Spring. Maybe I can do a "kill two birds" visit to that area. I would actually love to take a trip to the Woodlands. I used to visit and work out there when I went to Sam Houston but I've heard they've made several changes since then.

Nana2c&c, is your daughter a member of the Bellaire area MOM's? I'm a member, but have not found them to be very welcoming. Just wondering. Thanks guys. I'll wait on some more responses then pm you guys to try and set something up.

Stephanie lives at 610/Fannin very close to you.... her twins (as you can see are just over a year) She is not a member of BMOM... she has heard they are not very welcoming also... she has been to their sales and that's about it...

I am also in the Houston area and would love to meet up with other moms of twins. My boys are 9-1/2 months old. Please let me know if there's anything scheduled to introduce our kiddos - I live in The Heights. Thanks - looking forward to it.

 

I live in Montgomery (west of Conroe). I'd love to meet up with some of you guys, but really I'm just too far. BUT, I am very active with the Woodlands MOM's, and it is a GREAT club! I have met many friends there, and they always have activities going on. It's worth the drive if you think you'd like to be involved in a really good MOM's club. It takes me 40 minutes just to get there, but it's worth it.
