Any fellow 11 month olds taking ONE nap per day?

No one has said anything about it but mine do one nap a day for about 2.5 hours.. It's about 2.5 hours after they wake in the morning and that is it.

I'm actually fine w/ it cuz it allows us to have the day free but I think it's kind of early for this.. Just checking to see if I have anyone else on one nap yet.

I think we're the only ones w/ our molars, right? We cannot possibly be the only ones under one w/ one nap per day!!

My girls went to one a day the same month they turned one. DH was home with them during the day and said he just gave up on the morning nap because all they'd do was rattle the crib railing and cry for an hour.

They took an afternoon nap until they were four, and even longer at school. By age 4, we limited them to one hour or so during the day or they were up until 11 at night!

 

Isn't it usually the AM nap that sticks around the longest?? Why did they drop their PM one and extend their AM one?? Is that OKAY??

 

If its working for your lil ones than its fine. What time do they go to bed? How many hours total a day do they sleep?

Mine were still taking 3 naps and a year and 2 naps at 18 months, but they only sleep about 11 hours overnight.

 

Usually this happens around one. Yours might just be early .

 

They do 12.5 or 13 at nite and then 2 or 2.5 hour nap in the morning.

So.. they ARE getting the 15 hour requirement and they aren't cranky or tired so I guess it's okay.

I was just kind of thinking it would be more like 18 months when they dropped to one.

 

My girls are 11 months old (although only 8 months adjusted), and we are still on 3 naps per day most days (sometimes 2 depending on what's going on). I am in absolutely no hurry whatsoever to shorten nap time. I would say if the one nap per day works for you, then its perfectly fine.
