Any fast fixes for a busted lip?

It's busted pretty good. It was bleeding like crazy when it happened and now it's kind of purple and fat and has a little red cut on the outside. He hadn't even healed from last week's busted lip when he got this shiny new one. Is it too late for ice? It happened yesterday afternoon at the park so I couldn't get to any right away ( I could barely even get to HIM right away!). They're going as Frankensteins for Halloween so maybe I'll just put some face paint over it (totally kidding, I know that's not a good idea). Any tips from you been there done that moms would be GREAT! Thanks.

 

I got nothing, just here to commiserate. Aiden scratched his cheek & it still looks brutal. He's going to be a Kangaroo, so maybe I can make whiskers? Do Kangaroos have whiskers?

Aww, poor guy! Unfortunately I've got no ideas. I find they seem to heal rather quickly! He'll be a wonderful Frankenstein, with a fat lip.

 

Erick had a nasty split lip last year. Even ice didn't help it. I want to say it healed up well in a week or so. No advice for today though! Make sure to get a good pic of it for stories years from now! Let me see if i can find the pic of Erick's.....
