I hate complaining because I hear some of you ladies talk about what you're going through and I know I don't have it that bad. But...I am starting to get very uncomfortable most of the time. I am having a lot of pain and discomfort under my ribcage on my right side. My peri checked my gall bladder and liver and nothing seemed to be out of order. I can't lay on my side because my ribs are so sore can't lay on my back or I'll pass out and if I lay too far on my side and put pressure on my belly I get contractions on that side. It seems to be a lot worse if I haven't used the bathroom sorry tmi.. or if I am gassy and bloated. Is there anything I can do for that (gas-ex,or anything like that). Anybody else going through this, how are you dealing with it?

I am also having pain underneath my ribcage on my right side. My ultrasounds show that my baby boy likes to stick his bum up under my ribcage and I am assuming that is where the pain comes from. My rib almost feels bruised from the pressure.

I have also felt a slight tingling feeling on my right side in that area and when sharing with a friend that was recently pregnant with twins it seems she felt something similiar. We concluded that there must be a nerve or something that runs through there.

I don't know how helpful that is...but I am sorry that you are feeling this way. Not getting sleep is soooo frustrating. Are you using a body pillow to sleep with?

It's funny you mention the tingling because the skin in the area has a real pinchy feeling and there is a patch of skin that is numb. You are probably right about the nerve thing.

I remember going through rib pain at about 20 wks... I think they were "stetching" you know how your hips spread!!?? I couldnt take deap breaths and laying down killed! But the good news is it went away! So just give yourself a week or two and hopefully those babies will get everything stretched out and things will calm down. PS my babies are also very low so that may make a diff. too

I've been getting this pins and needles like feeling under my right rib cage - it's very weird. THen sometimes it's a sharp pain in the same place. Pretty uncomfortable. I have a growth scan tomorrow and will ask the doc about it.

Can I just say 'me too!' about the pain/discomfort under the right rib cage? But for me it feels like there's a baby stretching under there! So I've got one stretching up under the ribs and one kicking/punching me in the bladder. Yay. But I guess if I read some posts from the mamas who are 10 wks or so farther along- I don't feel as bad. Well, not yet, anyway. At least I can still sleep halfway decently!
Keep on keepin' on, mamas! Stay positive! It'll be worth it!

Yup! I've got this too- started about a month ago at least. We did all the tests for pre-e/liver and all that, but it just seems to be that baby B keeps pushing his way up into my ribs. [IMG] Not much can be done, except try to find the comfiest position and stay there! Hang in there! You're definitely not alone! [IMG]

you are not alone, baby B's butt is always in my right side rib cage...It takes my breath away alot. I have had numbness in that area for wuite some time, which is probably just him pushing on a nerve...
As for Gas I'm pretty sure Gas X is fine to take, I googled it, and have taken it a few times.
