When did you start feeling your twins moving consistently? I know everyone is different, but I'm just curious. :) I'm almost 15 weeks & I believe I've felt a wiggle here & there, but not so much recently. I've been feeling really good, my energy has returned and the only "symptoms" I'm still having is my bbs are still tender--but not nearly as bad as they were. Well, and my expanding baby belly. lol
This isn't my first pregnancy, so you would think I would be happy that I'm feeling so good and have some energy--especially since I need to keep up with my 3 & 6 year old girls! However, I tend to get freaked out a little more this time around since finding out I'm having twins. I try not to worry, but it's difficult. I just can't wait until I can feel them moving around & have that reassurance that they are progressing & doing well. My next u/s isn't until this coming Friday.....and it feels like it's going to take forever!!!!

Oh- has anyone been able to find out the gender at a 15 1/2 week u/s?!? My girls are so excited to find out and I'm really hoping we can get a glimpse if it's not too early. ;)

    Thanks!!

Aimee, I started really feeling them move around 18 weeks. We found out the genders at 17w2d. But at 13w, they did say they *thought* Baby B was a boy, looked a little thick between the legs, and turns out they were right. But we didn't put much stock in them saying that at 13w.

They may be able to tell at 15 1/2w, but I would definitely have them double check at your next u/s after that to be sure.

I did not start to feel them move until around 20 weeks. If you are worried definitely check with your OB.

I felt the first flutters at 13 weeks and then not again until 19w. As for consistent movement, that's still difficult for me. Usually I have to drink something and lie really still to focus on who's who. I would say around 23 weeks was when I could count on them moving at certain times.

Our u/s tech called them as girls at our 16w appt but made us promise not to hold her to it until our official 20w anatomy scan. Turns out she was right all along!

I didnt really feel them move until 22-23 weeks, which I thought I was late but I guess its normal.

Ahhh....reassurance. Thanks. ;) I was just hoping they might have some idea around the 15 week u/s.....but figured they really wouldn't commit to anything until around the 20 weeker. Thanks so much!

Thanks. :) I'm not too worried, but I wasn't sure if I should be feeling more movement by now. Thankfully, the replies on not feeling movement until around the 18-20 week mark are reassuring for me. I really have nothing to call my OB about except the normal pregnant mommy worries. :) Thankfully, I only have until Friday for that U/S.

Same here.....I knew I felt some flutters around the 13 week mark. I remember that feeling from my girls. Therefore, I was thinking/hoping that I should be feeling them more often or stronger by now. Thankfully, the replies on not feeling them until around the 18-20 week mark have been very reassuring. When you feel them, do you feel the movement on opposite sides? Silly question, I know. ;)

How fun that you had somewhat of an idea at your 16 week appointment! I'm so excited for this Friday! ;) Even if we can't find out, I can wait until the 20 week u/s......just seeing them @ my 15 week will make me happy! lol

Yes, it sounds like it was right on target!! Thanks! I'm feeling much better now that I know I have a few weeks before I'll be feeling them for sure. :)

I am at 20 weeks and haven't felt anything yet. I was a little worried but some people have said wait until 22 or 23 weeks possibly. It is driving my crazy. :)

I started feeling movement around 13 weeks and it increased as the weeks went on but it was very off and on until I was probably about 20-22 weeks. By 24 weeks I was finally able to feel them consistently. I was able to find out the genders at my 15 week appointment. Well - kind of.. ;) We found out for sure we were having 1 boy and the DR was 95% sure the other one was a girl. At 18 weeks we confirmed a boy and girl so he was right. Good luck finding out!!! :)

Edited to add: Yes I am normally able to feel them on different sides. Now that they are bigger it sometimes feels like just body parts everywhere ;) but the girl is kind of on top laying sideways and the boy is kind of underneath her breech towards the left side. SO if I feel more movement on the right side or center it's usually her and if I feel things way on the left side, down low, or internally then it's usually him. Sometimes I just have no clue. :D

I started with all 3 of them around the 12-13 week stage but not tell 18-20 weeks were they regular. At my 18 wk check I was able to tell my son (my daughter kept her legs crossed tell 34 wks!!!) and with the twins we found out the boy at 16 wks and the girl at 18 wks.

It does seem like the majority are 20 weeks +.....so don't worry. ;) I guess I have several weeks to go too!

I was very anxious about movement. I didn't start feeeling them til around 20 weeks. I have noticed an increase in the movement even here in the last few days or so.. I feel them much more over the weekend..

As far as the gender goes. My peri guessed girls at nearly 12 weeks and but told me it was a guess. At 16weeks i was told girls again and then again at 18 weeks.. (when i finally let it settle in) lol

Great question. I was concerned about my twins also I still havent felt much movement maybe a couple flutters. I felt movement early on in my other pregnancies so it concerned me also. I am hoping to feel them soon. My dr. said may not feel them until later on because one of my placentas are anterior. So its nice to hear that others are having the same concerns. Good luck at your appt. I had an u/s at 16wks and wasnt able to tell what my twins were. At my 20wk u/s we found out they are both girls. Good luck to you its so exciting to find out what your having and I hated having to wait another month. LOL.

I felt Baby A at 13 weeks... now I can't feel EITHER ONE :hmph: I panicked and went in and they are both fine... just kicking each other lol. At 15 1/2 weeks they told us Baby B was a girl and Baby A was most likely as well... on friday (18 weeks 1 day) they confirmed - BOTH GIRLS!

I felt them consistently around 20 weeks but it can vary depending on placental placement. It can act as a buffer.

As for the gender, my tech told us they were B/G at the 16 week appt but made us promise not to go to the bank on it just yet. She confirmed at the 20 week appt but after a tense moment of thinking we were having 2 girls she realized that she had them backwards at 16 weeks. Baby A was the girl, not Baby B! LOL
I thought my husband was going to pass out when she said Baby A was definitely a girl. LOL Then she had trouble seeing B and was about to say he was a girl too and then he popped his legs open and showed his fury. LOL My hubby let out an audible gasp. All he could picture was the Coors commercials (I love quarterbacks eating dirt, pom poms and short skirts and TWINS...)

Yeah. Made for an interesting few minutes. He was a green color I don't think is natural in humans.
