Another trip to l and d...

I was having weird back pain all day when i would get up to go to the broom or get something to eat. It would go away when I layed down and the nurse said as long as it doesnt come when you are laying down. Well, it did! Around 8:30 I had constant back pain like crampings for more than an hour. I had to go and get checked. Some stupid doc laughed when I told him my doc put me on bedrest without being dialated. I was kind of mad at him! He was like "why are u on bed rest?" blah blah blah. I had to defend why I was. Then he checked my cervix and was like, "oh thats interesting. u are 1 cm dialated." Im like uh ya dude hence why I was concerned with all this cramping and pain and pelvic pressure this week. I was so mad at him! Anyway, he then wouldnt tell me how much I was effaced. "that doesnt really matter. this is your third pregnancy so you are bound to be effaced the further along in your pregnancy" They moved me to be monitored and I had a way better doc. She told me I was 70% effaced and still 1 cm dialted. They gave me lots of water, and then I had tons of cramping worse than when I went in! The gave me some vicadin which kept the babies up all night (or morning by the time we got home). Needless to say I am not moving from my bed today!
Is there anyone out there who was dialated and effacing early on and was able to deliver later? I am worried at how much I dialated in two weeks. Thanks for any input. :mellow:

 

:hug:'s Momma, I'm sorry about the rude doctor. <_< They forget their bedside manners sometimes, why did he have to question your doctors decision? Anyway, I'm glad you went in. I hope that the bedrest keeps things going well.

Thanks for the good wishes! The doc was questioning that I shouldnt be on bedrest because I wasnt dilated until he found out I was dilated. I hope I dont have him again, however the way my luck has been going he will be the one on call when i deliver i just know it! I went to my doc and no changes since Sunday and I asked her if she thinks i will make it to 37 weeks when they will induce me *though baby a is now breech. She says oh ya youll make it! Im like "ok if you say so!" The good news is she said I can get off of bedrest at 35 weeks!!! And if i go into labor they can come out! That is so refreshing to hear! I am now counting down until Decemeber 18 when I can be released from the couch!!

 

When I was in preterm labor I had a Dr. tell me that they had managed to keep a woman who was at 9 cm for a full week without delivering!

That was impressive!
