I did some research on double side by side strollers, and I decided I want a Maclaren. They have 2 different kinds: The Twin Triumph, and their new Twin Techno. The Twin Techno is a lot more expensive, but also has a lot of features that the Triumph doesn't have like:
    larger sun hoods
    full recline
    head huggers/boots

So, what do you recommend? Anyone have either of these strollers? Or do you have a stroller that you LOVE?

I'm in the same boat, registring for a stroller and don't know which one!

we're only in the beginning of our research, but we know a couple things so far...I checked the McLaren and the average width is about 40....the average door width is about 36, so I think for us, we don't want to go with a stroller wider than 32 or so.
also it will help in a lot of stores if you keep it not too wide with the stroller.
the other thing we might want is the cupholder for the babies and also the additional wheel in the middle, for weight support when they're heavier.
also some of the baskets below the seats are smaller than others and some have bottle holder for parents and some don't.

    not sure if that helps!

Interesting. In all of the reviews I've read for Maclaren - online and Baby Bargains, they always say it fits easily through doors! What strollers are you considering?

I have a MacLaren Twin Rally ... easily fits through doors. I also have a Mountain Buggy Urban Double (29") and about the same to go through doors.

The average width cannot be 40" ... it must be around 30".

The Twin Rally was also considerably cheaper than the Twin Traveller and since I use it as my 2nd stroller (travelling / car) that was just fine for us.

On amazon the Twin Techno has a width of 30". The rally isn't available anymore - just the Twin Triumph, which I'm assuming is similar to the rally, and the Techno.

I think I'm going to get the Combi because it's so lightweight but I think the width is around the same as the McClaren.

I have a side by side for when my second son was born- my other son was 2. It didn't work out for me at all, but that may just be me! It fit through doorways, but that was about it. I couldn't fit through any of the aisles at the mall and if there was an aisle I fit through, everyone else had to get out of the way when I was coming through :) Also, our roads don't have sidewalks and if I was out taking a walk, I felt like I took up half of the road. I ended up getting a sit n stand for my sons, with the twins, I am prob going to get a Graco Duoglider. I've heard on some reviews that twins prefer the side by side to be close to each other, so I still have that one for back up if they voice their opinions on it !!

I have two, one is the double snap-n-go from baby trend and I really liked it when they were very little. You don't have to pull them out of their carseats they stay nice and snug in the seats and you just snap the seats into the frame. I also have a side by side Combi that we absolutely love! I have no problem getting it easily through doors and it is easy to manage very light weight. The snap and go isn't as easy to move around but it is convenient in the beginning.
