So DD just started walking yesterday. She takes a few steps. I figure within a few weeks she will have mastered this and will be wanting to walk outside.

We used to wear Robeez but those are no longer an option as they cut off circulation to her feet.

She is almost 11 months old and measures a size 2.5 narrow at Stride Rite. She has super small feet. Stride does not sell walking shoes that small only crib shoes.

Any ideas where I can get narrow shoes that small that are appropriate for walking?

    Thanks

You could try Pedipeds...they offer many of their styles in smaller sizes, and the shoes have a bit more support than Robees (more layers of leather in the sole, which is also padded). Same general price range, as well (around $30).

Edited to add: their size X-Small correlates to a US 2.5-3.5

Does anyone have these? How are they width wise? Our biggest issue is her feet rattle around in most shoes side to side.

    Thanks

Oh my gosh, that is a tiny foot! I know when my girls started walking, the pedi said soft shoes were fine. I can't imagine she's going to be up and running around the back yard right away, so until you find some sturdier walking ones, I would just use something with a thick sole outside. Have you tried Target? I know some of their sneakers and stuff are as small as a 3.

We love our Pedipeds, but I'm not sure if our feet are wide or not ?!?! Maybe go to their website & see if there's a store nearby you that you could at least TRY a style on? I'm not sure what their return policy is online. We're in the SMALL & the boys will be able to wear them for a while. My goodness does Elizabeth have tiny feet!

And walking? Good heavens....Conner isn't even CRAWLING yet :)!

    Good luck...I'd really try Pedipeds.....

Amy was a size 2 when she started walking, and I bought her shoes at Target. They have separate bins (at least at our Target) of "pre-walker" shoes, but the shoes are made just the same as the bigger sizes. They didn't come in narrow widths, but seemed to fit pretty snug (they were too tight for Sarah's fat feet).

Pedipeds would be an option too. I also tried See Kai Run -- they were the only "high-end" brand I could find in a size 3 (for Sarah), but even with her fat feet, they were so wide that they fell right off.

I was so relieved when they finally hit size 4 and could wear Merrells. Most of the better brands start at size 5 for walkers.

    Tammy,

Try Preschoolians. They have a 40% twin discount when you buy any two pairs of shoes. Just one caveat... sometimes they say they have shoes available and it takes forever to ship them, so use their online customer service to ask if the shoes are really in stock before you place the order.

Good luck with your skinny minny foot girl!

Congrats on the walker Tammy! I have no advice, as the feet here are on the opposite end of the spectrum!

You can try Preschoolians as well. They go into small sizes and have an insert for narrow feet. Send them an email and see if the shoes would work for DD. I believe their twin discount is still 40%.

We have some Pedipeds as well but I don't think it would be narrow enough for that tiny a foot.

ally has a small foot as well, she is in a size 2 and takes a few steps. i haven't had her sized, so i don't know if she would be narrow or not, and we have got her a pair of sandals at target that fit well, but she pulls them off--i don't know if they easily do because they may be too wide, or just that she can't stand to have them on her feet since they were always barefoot (socks in the winter)....my point is target has a lot of size 2's with good soles, and supportive arches if you want to try there (circo brand)
