Now, I know that this really is going to vary but I figured it was worth a shot asking, right??

My girls are 15 mo old now and are only wearing a size 4 shoe (were wearing a 3 at 12mo). I had a heck of a time finding them boots that weren't ninety bazillion dollars (you know, since they were going to wear them for a whole whopping two times before they either a. didn't need them anymore or b. outgrew them  ) I actually didn't even end up getting any.

However, my mom mentioned that LL Bean has a bunch on clearance for like $10! I would love to get them some for next year. So, I'm wondering if I should get them a 5 or a 6 for next year?

Anyone with kiddos whose feet were similar and what size would you get??

    TIA!

I'd get the 6 because it's easier to put an extra pair of socks on them and have them be a little big than to not be able to use them because they're too small.

I have absolutely NO idea. My girls foot went from a 4 at 12 mos. to a 7 at 20 months. That is a great deal though!!

I've learned that for us those great deals never work out. I have never been able to accurately predict what their size will be in the future. If you're going to risk it, I'd go with the bigger size.

my twins have always had small feet, katies in a 6/7, Joshie can wear a 5/6 depending on the shoe!! I have been buying Katie 7's simply because she may suddenly sprout bigger feet overnight like she did going from size 5-6 in like days lol My cousin sent me a few pairs of 7's and theyre pretty big on her but she wears them anyway. Id really go ahead with the bigger size myself

My girls wore a size 2 and 3 their first winter (12-16 months or so), and I never did find boots for them. I had some Goretex "shoe covers" to put over their regular shoes, but those were $20 a pair and we hardly ever wore them. Grrr.

They wore a European size 19 and 21 (roughly 4 and 5) this past winter, and now Amy's moving into a 5 and Sarah into a 6. They seem to have very small and very slow-growing feet, but we made it through the whole winter with one pair of boots per kid!

I never buy season-specific shoes more than a couple of months in advance. For sneakers or Mary Janes, I would, because you can wear those year-round. But it would be too annoying to get boots or sandals that turned out to be the wrong size for the 3-4 months that they actually need them.

But, if you're going to, I'd get a 6 for the reason Debid mentioned.

I was going to say the same thing about the bigger size & socks. For $10 I'd risk it!! I have slow growing feet here, too & my almost 2 year old just now grew into a size 5.

I'd go with the size 6 too, for the exact same reason.

Excellent! My mom is going to stop at the outlet on her way over today, hopefully they still have some!
