another shoe question

I feel obsessed! But I've been looking around at shoes & want to find one nice pair of sandals for dd for this summer.....something that can go with everything. Ds is already covered; found some good deals on ebay. I got him a pair in his size now & also one size up, which he actually is very close to fitting. With socks, they're fine.

Here's my 1st question: neither of them have moved up a size in shoes since about last spring, so I know it won't be long till she's in a 5. (Wearing a 4 right now.) We're already getting some nice warmer weather & the rest of us have been wearing sandals......should I order hers in the 5, hoping she'll grow into them by "real" summer?

2nd question: what would be some good sandals for outdoors? We're a very outdoorsy family during the summer & almost every weekend we're either at the coast, the river, the lake, or Grandma's pool. She'll need something that can hold up to all this. Their feet grow super slow, so I imagine she'll be in the same pair all summer.

 

PS - now that I think about it, I'm probably going to need something myself besides flip flops for chasing toddlers this summer! Any suggestions? I have a pair of Chaco's , but I took one hike in them & was crying by the end......the texture on them hurts my feet. I think I'm going to sell them on ebay & get something else.

 

For the last two summers the kids each had a pair of keens as their outdoor/water sandal and they are absolutely awesome. I'll be getting them another pair for this summer also. I also have a pair and find them to be great and comfortable. They also have a pair of crocs for the summer and they are fine for around the house but I find that they don't protect their toes wells as mine like to let their feet scrape along the ground when they ride in their plasma cars.

 

i would get the size bigger.. their feet will only grow..not shrink.. and zappos.com has every kind of shoe possible and size.. with free shipping..hope it helps.. good luck .
