I switched the boys to a 3 hour schedule and it seemed to work pretty well. Now if they are both sleeping, do I wake them up, or let them sleep? I am currently letting them sleep, it's 45 minutes past their scheduled feeding time. I'm so confused!! I would really like to have them on a schedule, but I also don't want to wake them up! HELP!

I would let them sleep until one wakes up. Then wake the other. Sometimes, the schedule gets off for the day, but tomorrow it can start off on track!

My girls were on a 1.5 hr feeding schedule until about 4.5 months [sigh] ^_^ When they were about two months old sometimes one would nap for 3 [sometimes even 4 hrs!!]. During that time I'd just let them sleep.. they obviously needed it - and I didn't mind the alone time with the other baby ;) As long as it wasn't going to ruin their [night time] sleep, I didn't worry.

I agree with Meg. Enjoy the nice long nap :).

I let them sleep, Grandt woke up after 4 hours, and I had to wake Grayson. The whole reason we switched to 3 hours was for Grayson!! I'll figure it out someday!

Personally, I would have woken them up to keep them eating every 3 hours at their age due to prematurity. I found that they will sleep the day away if you let them. Just my 2 cents after the fact;)

I would have woken them up right at 3 hours. I was strict with my schedule during the day, and and lax at night, except with my preemie, which was Hannah, and she was on a strict 3 hour at night also for the first 3 months or so.

We have a very strict every 3 hour feeding schedule during the day. Ryley always wakes up on time and if Kelsey is still sleeping I wake her up too. Its just me solo with our 3 kiddos so if the twins get off schedule everything is chaotic in our house.

Sorry :pardon: Its always hard to get opposing views. You just have to do what you feel is best. In this situation it's all about what works for you.

We have Ross and Cole on a 4 hr it works well for us but sometimes one of them doesn't wake up so we wake them up so important to keep them on a schedule .. It sounds like your doing a good job and it sounds like the boys are doing awesome :)

I always woke mine up and they would both eat. Obviously if one had had a bad morning or afternoon and had slept little, then I´d let the baby in question sleep but otherwise, I woke them. I stopped waking them every 3 hours around 3 or 4 months old.

Why dont you leave your LO this time and see how he/she is afterwards. If you see it affects the next nap and/or night sleeping then you know you need to wake them in the future. It´s trial and error really. Do what your gut tells you to do, that´s the right decision. GL! :)
