Another post partum question

I still have not got my period yet.
I did try to breastfeed in between formula feedings, but unfortunately it never worked out. I'm wondering if that is why my period has been delayed??

What were your experiences? Did you get it at the 4 to 8 week post partum? Also (& here is the TMI part) was your flow heavy or light?

I'm not really sure when I actually did get my period. I bled for 3 months after the delivery. Then, it cleared up and I started bleeding again 2 weeks later, so I guess that was my actual period starting.

 

With my singleton I BF for 3 months, and had to wait about another 2 months before I got a period. I also bleed for almost a month after he was born. Unfortunatly it's not been long enough for me to be of any help this go 'round. If you are worried about it, please call your doc. The triage nurse should be able to tell you without it being any problem.

 

I got mine within 8-14 weeks of all of my deliveries. And it was extremely heavy. :bad:

 

I bled for six weeks after their birth and four weeks later I got my period and it was HEAVY! <_< As if the six weeks of bleeding wasn't enough!! :angry:

 

I bled for 3 weeks after delivery and 3 weeks later (6 weeks PP) got my period and it was "normal" (not extremely heavy nor light). I never breastfed but I was exclusively pumping at that time.

 

the girls will be 7 months on Aug 3 and Aunt Flo has not visited yet!! I don't miss her one bit!!
(but I do breastfeed the girls)

 

I got mine back today <_< ugh. Anyways, I gave birth 7 weeks ago. I only bled for about two weks PP. Its been normal to slightly lighter than normal. I was exclusively pumping but he all of the sudden wanted to nurse and so we're breastfeeding.


ETA: Edited to add that I was breastfeeding.

 

I got my period at 10 months and bf the boys for 8 months. It was insanely heavy the first 2 time.

 

I didn't stop bleeding until a day or two before my follow up doc appt...then I started with periods a couple of weeks later

 

I didn't breastfeed at all. I bled for about 7 weeks after my c-section, and then got my period at about 10 weeks. It was definitely heavier than I remember, but not insanely so.

 

i did not BF and it was 11 weeks before i got my period. I left the hospital with a mini pad nothing bigger then the bleeding came back after 3 weeks for like one week, pretty heavy...

 

I bled/spotted for about 7 weeks and got my period at 8 weeks. It was pretty heavy for the first two days, but nothing scary. The best part was that I had no cramping at all for the first time in my life. I don't know if this is because I had a tubal or what, but I was so happy. There were times I couldn't go to work because I had cramps so bad. I hope it stays like this!

 

I bleed for about 3 weeks pp and now it is at 9 weeks and I haven't started yet and i was kind of wondering when i would start. I also had a tubal.

 

I bled for 7-8 weeks after delivery and then got af (HEAVY!!!!) at 16 weeks postpartum and I bf.

 

BF and supplemented with formula for 12 weeks (big eaters at this house!!), completely weaned at 12 weeks, first period 3 weeks later...what a bummer!
