I think me and babies@2 have/had the same due date! I was given 2 actually. July 18 and July 22, so depending which one you go by, I'm either 40w2d or 39w6d. and STILL NO BABY!

Went in for an appt. on Thursday. I was 1.5 and 75% effaced, so they stripped my membranes. That didn't do anything. Friday night we went and walked for a good hour (before and after dinner) and STILL nothing. I WAS at one point prior to my appt having contractions. Those have all but stopped. He is getting to cozy and comfy up in my belly.

My twins keep pointing at my belly and saying, "OUT!" LOL It's funny. Of course I tell them to say it, but it's still cute.......

We were hoping the full moon on Friday would've jump-started some things, but nope....... I think he knows he has 2 big sisters that are going to 'pounce' on him as soon as he comes out, and he's scared!!! LOL

I've been taking EPO 2600 every night before bed (suppository style, not by mouth) don't know if that's doing anything, but I think it helped my dilate cuz the week before last I was at ZERO (no effacement, no dilation, still long, thick and closed) so hopefully it will keep working and send me into labor BEFORE I have to be cut open.

We scheduled a c-section for the 29th. I decided it was safer to do that than to try to be induced. I'm not sure. My cervix is favorable now (it wasn't when we scheduled) But I'm still undecided if I want to use Pitocin or not. It would be a VERY difficult recovery from a c-section with 2 18 month old toddlers that LOVE to jump on mommy. Let's just pray this little guy decideds to come on his own.

I hope you aren't too uncomfortable. I went 38 weeks 3 days with the twins and I was so READY to get them out. When the dr. said, "Oh I think you can go to 40 weeks!" I almost fainted! Then Michael started stressing in the stress tests and I was induced at 38 weeks 3 days. Believe me, I was so uncomfortable. I hope you are doing ok and that we get to hear your birth story VERY soon!

Well, it's definetly easier being pregnant with one than with two. I'm still able to do a lot more than I was with the twins. I'm still working (yea....a about that....) and we still go out every weekend with the kids so they aren't holed up in the house all weekend.

But on the flip side, I'm tired, from caring for the twins, and from being pregnant. I do have pre-exisitng back/hip problems that are more of a problem this time than they were with the twins....

But for the most part, Hanging out isn't ALL that bad, I just wish he'd come already!

I have to admit I'm REALLY nervous now about having a VBAC. I wanted a natural birth so bad with the twins, but now that it might be a reality with this one, I'm getting scared - about having something the size of a basketball coming out of something the size of a grapefruit! LOL But, I have all my coping mechanisms packed (IPOD with meditation music, heating pads, tennis balls, etc...) so I'm definetly going to give it a go, I'm just hoping like HE** that I don't just freak out and make things worse.

My due date is on the 17th! I understand the fears associated to a vaginal birth. I'm also hoping and praying for a beautiful and positive vbac birth. I keep telling myself that this is a body/physical thing and I will use my most primal parts of the brain to labor and birth this baby. It's not a brain thing, something we feel we need to control. You know? Our bodies and babies know exactly what to do and we need to submit and trust that process.

I really hope you have a beautiful vbac, just know you can absolutely do this, millions of women do this all over the world! Think of the many women that are laboring right there with you as you are laboring and birthing your child. I hope the best for you!

I went 42 weeks with DS in August so I totally understand wanting them out when it's time. It sounds like your effacement etc is totally normal for your stage so who kows the effect, if any that EPO is having. I was 2cm 95% effaced at 39 weeks and didn't have DS for weeks after that. I ven had 2 days of pitocin in the hospital and they sent me home with no baby and I didn't even progress .5cm with the pitocin! The thing that finally got my DS out was acupuncture. I had 3 treatments, 3 days in a row. I started having contractions after the first visit, and they got stronger with each treatment until day 3 was the day!!

    I hope he arrives soon!

I hope he comes on his own (and soon) and that you truly get the birth experience you want!

I was worried too!!!! My VBAC turned out to be the best thing though.. even with a 10 pound baby! One thing my husband said he will always remember.. it was how fast he actually came out! It was amazing!! Recovery afterwards was so much better too! Hang in there! He's coming soon!

Congratulations on making it this far! Like the others have said, the VBAC is such a better experience than a c-section. I was induced at 41.4 days with Dax and didn't have him until 2 days later and I would do that again in a heartbeat. It is amazing how much easier and faster the recovery is when you have the baby the way your body is meant to rather than having surgery. I hope you get your VBAC and go into labor soon!

Good luck! I hope you have a quick and easy labor -- and SOON! (And to think I'm complaining when I'm only 37 weeks. . .)

    Hang in there!

I personally hate due dates. Too much pressure, lol.
