    After 5 boys, we are SO out of boy names! I will truly be excited if this little bean is a boy, but we are just totally blanking on the whole name thing. I know we've got a lot of time - I'm only 9 weeks, but I thought I'd throw it out there and see if you guys have any brilliant ideas. :)
    We like very classic, very 'boy' names. Somehow, they have all ended up two syllables, that can be shortened to a one syllable, 4 letter name.

    Matthew=Matt
    William=Will
    Nathan=Nate
    Andrew=Drew
    Jacob=Jake

    The only name I can think of is Jackson=Jack, and I really like this name. However, we would have Jake and Jack at the end, only 18 months apart. DH doesn't like the whole Jake/Jack thing. We also sort of like Zachary or Benjamin, but they don't quite meet our 'criteria'. Any ideas? :rolleyes:

    (P.S. if it's a girl, we have no problems! We've got 10 years worth of girl names to choose from! :D )

    You've gotten some good suggestions.

    My own suggestion would be Colton - Cole.

    I like the name Jackson but I know LOTS of little boys named Jack and that's fine but I agree about the Jake/Jack thing.

    Of the pps' suggestions, I also like Bradley - Brad and Jeffrey - Jeff.

    I'll continue to think on this one.

    Some of the names I thought of are already mentioned.

    Here's a couple more:
    Walter - Walt
    Clemens- Clem
    Kenton - Kent
    Kirkwell or Kirkwood- Kirk
    Whitman - Whit

    If Rebecca was going to be a boy, we were going to call him Luke. You could have Lucas and call him Luke.

    David=Dave
    Peter=Pete
    Michael=Mike

    I'm partial to thomas - but you might find yourself calling him Tommy, it is so cute for a little boy. He can grow into Tom. Lucas - Luke I like also. Or how about Rowan = Ro

    Well we have the same taste in boys names ... so

    Daniel = Dan
    Samuel = Sam
    Elijah = Eli
    David = Dave
    Joseph = Joe

    All my boys first or middle names, you already have an Andrew and ruled out Benjamin - I don't think Ezra would work for you.

    I love all the strong masculine names you have for your kids. I think the name Lucas....Luke would fit in well. Good luck and keep us posted!

    I like the Jackson/Jack idea, but understand the confusion with Jake too! I do like Zachary/Zach(k) and Lucas/Luke ideas!! Or Alexander/Alex.

    I can totally 100% understand that one!! I NEVER thought I would be able to use the name Megan (the top on my list of abt 20 girls' names that I love). But sure enough we finally did! :D

    Since I totally think I'm having a girl, I'll share my boy name with you. I can't beleive I'm doing this!

    Henry - Hank

    Of course, I live in Texas, I could see how that'd be a little too "southern" for some folks...

    This was my only thought also. That's funny b/c we felt that way with the girls. We have had boy names picked out for the longest time and struggled on a girl name this time around. We didn't realize until AFTER we had Olivia that all of our girls' first names have 6 letters and their middle names all have 5 letters. So, I guess if we did have anymore, we'd have to follow that trend...lol!
