So this week I am really liking the name Georgia Grace. We could call her Gigi for short maybe? I don't know. But what to go with it for the other girl? Charlotte? Evelyn (Evie)? Any other ideas? Our last name starts with L so I tend to skip the L names. Too much rhyming.

I love the name Georgia. It is beautiful. I like it with Charlotte and Olivia. Hmm... also sounds good with Sophie. Isn't this so hard?!

Thank you! Yes this is hard. I just groan when people ask us about names because I can't decide!!!!! I think naming one baby is easier. I really like Georgia and Charlotte (after my Grandpa's George and Charles). But I don't like the nicknames for Charlotte, Lottie, Char etc. Unless I could push for Carly. Hmmmmmm

I have a friend named Charla, that could be a nickname for Charlotte.

My problem with Georgia and Charlotte is it's like a Southern geography theme. :p But I love how it works with your grandpas!

I do like the sound of Georgia and Jessica together.
    Or Georgia and Sophia.
Evelyn is also pretty with Georgia.

If you want matching Georgia and Gabriela, Gigi and Gabi ?

If you want not matching but a family theme, what were your grandmother's names? or grandparents on the other side of the family?

We call our Charlotte Charlie....sometimes even Chuck. Ok I admit it, when she spits up we call her Upchuck. She's going to hate us when she grows up. :D

Upchuck! :rotflmbo: OMG I think you ruined that name for me.

Sadly we have rather dull family names to draw from:

    Nancy
    Patricia
    Fran
    Ruth
    Naomi
    Elsinor

    On the boy side:

    George
    Charles
    Herbert
    Roland
    Norman
    Jimmy
    :nea:

Naomi Ruth is kind of pretty. Not sure about pairing it with Georgia though.

ETA: When I see Georgia & Charlotte together, I think you might have a thing for place names :winking0009:

I immediately thought of Carolina....but then someone said "names for places" Carolina seems pretty obvious, so maybe Caroline.

    Georgia & Caroline
    Georgia & Cora
    Georgia & Madalyn
    Georgia & Abigail or Adeline
    Georgia & Victoria

I'm just throwing this one out there....
    Georgia & Patience, I think it's cute.

    As for the obvious...
    Georgia & Savanna
    Georgia & Virginia
    Georgia & Sydney
    Georgia & Brooklyn

If you like kinda classic sounding but cute
    Georgia & Violet
    Georgia & Ruby
    Georgia & Lilly (Lillian)
    Georgia & Iris

twins with the same beginning sounding names
    Georgia & Jewel or Jullian
    Georgia & Jasmine
    Georgia & June
    Georgia & Jane

Georgia and Clarissa (Gigi and Clara)

I have a Clarissa (we don't use a nickname) and I love the name even more now than when we chose it. I think it sounds nice with Georgia too.

Actually we have thought of Savannah but thought that might be going a little too far with place names. LOL

What do you think about Georgia and Vivian?

  22. EMc2

    EMc2 Well-Known Member

Cute, but personally I like Lillian better. Georgia is a 'soft' sound when pronounced. The "v" in Vivian makes a "hard" sound. I like Lillian cause it sounds soft again when pronouncing it.
Besides for nicknames you could call them Gigi and Lil or Georgia and Lilly. Only nickname for Vivian is Viv or Vivi, unless you were completly opposed to giving them nm's. But I suppose Gigi and Viv are cute too.
JMO, I certainly don't think Vivian is horrible and it's perfect if you really like it! GL!

I love Lillian but our last name starts with L also. Put them together and it starts to sound like a stripper name. LOL

Oh that's right. I forgot about that. You did say that to begin with.
What about Jillian? That sounds awesome with Georgia.
yeah, no disrespect to the exotic dancers, but there's enough of them in the world already! don't need to be raising any! lol!

If you want you can spell it Gillian, to have two Gs or with a J if you don't want matching letters.

Okay, okay, I concede. I like Vivian Jayne and Georgia Grace. Those are super cute! Good luck and I'm sure once you see those two precious faces, you'll know for sure and who gets what. If you haven't an idea already. I pretty much knew who was who way before they were born.
    How about you?
